Downtown Dipper Ice Cream Shop

This is such a great ice cream shop! Highly recommend if you’re in Vero Beach and want ice cream that’s far superior than a lot of other ice cream shops in Vero Beach.

This small downtown ice cream shop in the heart of the old section of Vero Beach is a true little gem. The server, Reina, was very attentive and did an excellent job preparing my sundae. The flavors were rich and quite sweet, but very nice. I rarely go to the same restaurants within a close period of time but I am tempted to return soon. The only downside is the parking as there is very limited parallel parking and the angle parking is usually full. There is no way to wash your hands as there are no restrooms in the store and the nearest one is down the sidewalk in a hallway and no seating inside so on hot days you go to outside tables. That said, this is a very good ice cream shop and worth the trip!

So for the third time in in two weeks I have to come to this place for a milk shake but they “ran out” of milk… how does a place that offers milk shake and malts as part of their menu never have milk in stock?

My wife and I went in to get some ice cream after a nice meal down the street and as we were waiting the girl dipping, the ice cream had her hair in a long braid, and as she dipped ice cream out of one tub of ice cream, her hair went into another. There is no way I’m going to eat ice cream there!

Was excited to bring my 6 and 10 year old nieces here for the first time. We came on a busy Friday night and they were pretty unorganized. Seemed to only be kids running the place. They weren’t taking orders of people in line just anyone who walked in and was ready to order. None of us really liked our ice cream. I got moose tracks and it was totally boring. Hardly any chocolate or peanut butter cups. Just bland ice cream. Both kids got some chocolate flavors and both were just meh. It’s a cute place but don’t think we’ll be back.

I'd give it six if I could. Cor those who remember they have a lot of the same flavors from the old Boardwalk Icecream. Same brand of icecream as well so if you were sad to see Boardwalk close then this is you place. Go you wont be disappointed.
