Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge

I’ve been to Kilwins a number of times in the past. Their ice cream is delicious but extraordinarily expensive. As a treat to my granddaughter we decided to go today after a production at Riverside Theatre. When I couldn’t enter the parking garage I called Kilwins on the gate app at the garage. I asked the young man who answered to please open the gate for us so we could park in the rear of the shop in the parking garage as I am handicapped and use a walker. He replied that their app for the garage no longer worked. Mind you the signage on the garage says for use of tenants and patrons of the shops. So I said that I suppose I can’t patronize your shop since I’m handicapped. He said I could use the garage by paying the parking rate of $30 per hour!! Obviously we left. The front access to Kilwins is up a very steep set of stairs. I was disappointed to say the least

You know when you're having a great day and decide to grab yourself a treat? So you make your way to this wonderland of chocolates.

Then you enter to find this manager lady freaking out on some young employee who's not even old enough to sit on a bar. Like lady, it's a chocolate store, chill. Nobody is going to die. What a vibe.. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I called this afternoon (9-23-24 @ 4:00pm) for directions and to ask about store hours, and I have never encountered such rudeness in all of my life. I had planned to stop by tomorrow for an ice cream, but my goodness….I will not be doing that. Somebody at Kilwins needs to undergo some telephone etiquette. :(

We love Kilwins and their ice cream, but the service was disappointing at this location. We seemed to be inconveniencing the staff that were working and they charged us for more than we ordered. When my husband pointed that out, the cashier (who had apparently lost her voice and couldn’t talk) was annoyed. There was no one in line behind us, and they weren’t busy.

We used to love this place & would go often. This last visit was disappointing. The 3 icecream cups were great, however the 2 Caramel apples we purchased were going bad on the inside. When I spoke to the manager & sent photos as proof, as was requested. I was told there was nothing wrong with the quality of the product ?
No thank you, this doesn’t look normal to us. That will be our last visit at this location.

Love this place, however the Vero Beach location had no staff to welcome you or to take your order. We walked out, when we saw 2 staff there, which didn't ask to assist us. By the way the store did not have a any clients at the time. Thought it was rude.
