We had read some of the recent reviews of the Oslo Cafe and decided it might be worth the drive from our home in Winter Beach. Upon arrival, we noted the mess made by construction (the renovation of the Winn-Dixie store on Oslo Rd to ALDIES). Upon entry, we were welcomed by one of the employees and invited to sit anywhere. We sat next to a huge blackboard, covered tastefully by very good chalk drawings by a person only as “Chuck.” (Perhaps they could encourage “Chuck” to sign his work…he’s not bad.). The breakfast menu contained the usual fare. I ordered biscuits and gravy, my wife ordered a yoghurt bowl; we both ordered coffee. One of the reviews about the quality of food at the Oslo Cafe raved about the biscuits and gravy. Whoever wrote the review must have been either a friend or relative of the owner of the Cafe, because they clearly have never had biscuits and gravy from a cook who really knew how to cook. The biscuits and gravy i received was too think and was completely tasteless. Whatever the meat was, it didn’t taste like any sausage I had ever eaten. Our first cup of coffee was burned and must have been the last two cups of the pot. Our refill was marginally better - but for $3.50 each - the coffee should have been heaven-sent. It was not! My wife’s yogurt bowl was very good. She brought most of it home and finished it later that day. Overall, our experience did not live up to the hype! THis cafe is TOO EXPENSIVE. Our bill was nearly $30 for the above meal. Not worth the drive or the time. When is Vero Beach going to attract restaurants that provide quality food at a reasonable price. When are they going to earn trusted reviews. After eating here, my only remark is that if what I ate was a sample of home-cooked goodness, there has to be a lot of bad cooks in this town. One should not have to take out a small business loan to eat out - and they should receive a good meal in exchange for their patronage.

recently had the pleasure of visiting Oslo Café, and I can honestly say it's quickly become one of my favorite spots! Everything about this place—from the incredible food to the wonderfully welcoming people—makes for an outstanding café experience.
Seriously, if you go, you must try breakfast; it's the perfect way to start your day! Beyond the regular menu, I love that Oslo Café always features specials. It's a fantastic way to try something new and exciting every time you visit. Whether you're craving a classic or an innovative creation, the food here will absolutely satisfy.
The people working there are genuinely friendly, attentive, and they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Their great service and cheerful attitude contributes so much to the café's warm inviting vibe.
If you are looking for a place with great food, an amazing breakfast, exciting specials, and truly wonderful people, look no further than Oslo Café. It's a gem!

We came here twice before I decided to write a review. First visit, food was good. Portions a little inconsistent, but good. Tasted fresh. Service a little slow. No refill offered. Was excited to come back.
Second visit: bone dry waffle served cold. Added 2 extra dollars for maple syrup. Potatoes on my plate were mostly wet/soft.
Mentioned waffles were cold and they offered to reheat them. Usually reheating that type of food makes it harder.
No offer of refills for a $3.50 drink. Will not be back.
Response to owner: That is not accurate. Reheat and remake are two different things. I did not call. I was told the undisclosed “ open food “ charge was the syrup by the server. I tasted the syrup and “real deal” or not, it was average.

Not impressed. Spent $40 for 2 people and neither of us finished because or food was dry and flavorless. Not a spice to be seen on the hash browns...my waffle was so dry and flavorless and I spent $3.00 on berries that were practically not even there. We won't be back unless they suddenly learn to cook.

Very overpriced for the quality of food. Far better places in town.
The food was excellent. EVERYTHING is homemade and top quality. Cheeseburger was the best I’ve had in town. It’s family run, and the owner, Margaret, is both an artist and a delight. I haven’t had the avocado toast yet but I’m getting it next time, because I hear it’s excellent. Keep killing it, Marg! We love you!

Not only are we new to the area, but we also tried a new business here—and I have to say, it did not disappoint! Great food, great service, and if you go, don’t forget to check out the BUREK: a delicious Albanian dish, a must-try meat or spinach specialty. Highly recommended—definitely a new favorite spot for us!

This is the second time we have been to the Oslo Café the first time the food was outstanding. We were excited to have A high-quality breakfast spot in South County. But this time oh my no longer do they have 100% maple syrup just process 2% syrup. The biscuits are no longer homemade they taste like frozen store-bought biscuits. The sausage gravy tasted like it came out out of a can. Even the butter was a lower quality. And the service was absolutely horrible. The young lady that waited on my husband to myself was So slow Walked by us three times when our coffee cups were empty and never refilled them. Sad to see This establishment go from fantastic to terrible this quickly.
