I love the decor, the ambience, the quality of the food and drinks, and the fact that this is a Christian -based organization that supports a worthy cause. It is for this last reason that I feel this establishment should strive for the highest quality in all areas. I went for a cappuccino to be enjoyed in the establishment, and it was a busy Saturday with all tables filled. There was only one person making drinks and one person at the register. However, I was the only one in line with only one person with one drink already ordered ahead of me.I waited almost 20 minutes for my cappuccino, which I could’ve made in five minutes at home. Important to staff adequately and be prepared for emergencies. as a postscript, I didn’t notice until I was partway into my drink that I have been served in a cracked cup with a chip of glass out of the top of it that was very sharp. They did refund me, but I could’ve easily cut my lip and ingested a piece of glass. This is a constructive criticism with an urging and
confidence that you can do better!

The Food: 2.9 ⭐️

I loved the vibe of this place, both on the inside and the outside. It's its own little world. I got the Tropical Wave Smoothie ($8-$9) and the Flank Steak Panini ($12-$13). The total came to $22-$23.
The prices shown in the cafe are different from the prices online; they are higher in the cafe. The complimentary water was nice, and the cups were not your usual water cups, but I loved the uniqueness. The three workers I talked to were very kind, helpful, and complimenting.

The smoothie tasted very natural, which I liked, and I loved the metal straw they gave me. It made drinking it so much fun! 🤩

The steak in the panini was really good; it was better than I expected! There was a sweet flavor to the panini that I didn't like, but that was on me to remove. I also wish the panini was more balanced and had some avocado, but again, I could've asked for that to be added. I now know for if there's a next time!
(The ingredients: 🥩 grilled teriyaki steak, 🧅 onions, 🧀 muenster cheese, 🐴🫜 horseradish and 🫙🤍 RC sauce (cream cheese & ranch), toasted on 🥂🥖 French bread)

super unfriendly service from the girl at the front and $6.15 for a bagel with cream cheese that they don’t even put on for you is INSANE

Cozy place with good food and tasty coffee. The house made sriracha mayo was delicious.

First off the lady charged me for two drinks. They did say that they would refund it, but I honestly didn’t have time to wait for all of that as I was already late for work, but to top it off the cashier that rang me out no smile no customer service just horrible service. I get better service at Starbucks.

Cool spot. Gluten free baked items and food. Milk alternatives for coffee 👍🏻

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – The Best Coffee Cafe I’ve Ever Been To, with an amazing story.

If you’re in Vero Beach and haven’t made your way to Rio Coco Cafe, then you’re missing out on something truly special. I’ve been traveling all over, tasting coffee from coast to coast, and I can confidently say: this is the best coffee café I’ve ever been to.

Let’s start with the value—two large cups of perfectly brewed black coffee for under $4. In 2025. That alone would earn this place a return visit, but the real magic? That’s in the story, the beans, and the people.

The Story: I won’t spoil it for you, because honestly, you need to go in and experience it for yourself. Just know that Rio Coco is more than a coffee shop. It’s a mission, a community, and a journey that connects people across the world through the love of coffee.

The Coffee: As a black coffee drinker, I skip the fluff and judge a place on the strength of its roast—and Rio Coco delivers. The Nicaraguan dark roast with a hint of orange? It’s to live for. I’ve also tried the El Jaguar and Ethiopian—each one bold, complex, and beautifully roasted. The fact that they offer three slow roasts daily speaks volumes about the craftsmanship behind the bar. If they ever opened up to investors, I’d be first in line.

The People: I went three days in a row to really give this place a fair shake, and by day three, the team already knew me. They remembered how I like my coffee: black, with a side of ice. The young women working here are genuinely some of the kindest, most attentive people I’ve met in my travels. They check in, they care, and they make sure your experience feels personal—because to them, it is.

Rio Coco Cafe isn’t just a coffee spot—it’s a place that feels like home. Thank you for creating something so rich in flavor, in story, and in heart. - UPDATE, as I was leaving this Review Joanna came up to me to fill me a fresh cup from the fresh batch....I mean absolutely stunned at this place. - For more reviews head over to ericblackmer.com:)

Waited 30 minutes for a smoothie and then asked for a refund and left. Lots of potential here but the staff lacked urgency.

Very nice and detailed cafe… For my first time I was not impressed with the quality of breakfast.. Coming from NYC and having a bacon egg and cheese sandwich I thought I’d be blown away … I had the sandwich on a wrap. The bacon was microwave bacon not fresh. And they put only 1 slice ….The egg was like a McDonald’s egg definitely not worth $9 It was like having an upscale McDonald’s breakfast. I also had a cappuccino which was by far great. I would recommend this place only for coffee if you’re gonna have breakfast save yourself some money.
