Met some of the family that owns this fantastic restaurant on Saturday night. We had a date night and dinner at the intimate small bar with Cullen (bartender). We started by sharing a bowl of Sebastian Stew one of their all-time favorite most popular dishes. Only the second time we ate here since 2017. Our waitress was top self. Attentive but not pushy. The beet salad was good, not great. The cajun soup was excellent and spicy enough to be interesting but not burn your face off. The crab cakes were good, not great. There were 3 with each order which was a nice amount. The smoked brisket was flavorful with the BBQ sauce. It was tough and fatty. The mac and cheese was very good. They are known for there braised short ribs years ago....
I'm new to Vero and went to this spot on a recommendation, and we are SO glad we did! It looks like nothing much from the outside , but you are in for a treat!. A family owned and run southern style, casual , fun vibe restaurant.
