I treat myself at least once a month to an açaí bowl here and I love all the variations that i’ve tried so far! And I like adding protein powder and goji berries
I have 2 $50 gift cards. Stopped by 3 times trying to use it each time the staff doesn’t know how to use it. I asked if they can ask their manager. The girl said “my manager doesn't know how to use it either. It’s a new system and the owner is not available”… the poor girl look helpless. It’s quite frustrating.

Their product is good but the staff is always left alone to work by themselves and they don't greet the customer.
Perhaps it's because they don't have any support and are annoyed with another customer coming in which is why they aren't friendly.
I see it both ways but it makes me, as the customer feel guilty for ordering as if I am a nuisance.

I have been here before, today was not good. No one said hello to me. I ordered on the kiosk. the lady that came in after me. Ordered with one of the girls. i put my order in... literally order number 1. (i ordered a 16oz bowl.) lady after me order a crape and smoothie. she got it before me. waited 20 minutes... if i wasn't going to be late to work i would have asked for it to be remade.
and for my bowl to be less than 16oz is outrageous for the price that i paid. i added photos so you can see. 12.6oz with the fruit and plastic. very unhappy. staff needs better training on hospitality and consistency.

This place is garbage! We got smoothie bowls, which were good..but not nearly as good as ANY other place I’ve been, and I get smoothie bowls regularly. The service was out of this world AWFUL! We walked in, there was no other customers in the store and 3 workers. Not a single one of them acknowledged us, we stood there for probably 5 min when I started to wander around wondering why no one was even greeting us let alone taking our order, and they for sure saw us, they weren’t in the back of the store, one was up front cleaning the case. Thats when I noticed there was a kiosk on the side of the counter so I asked if I needed to order on that. The girl washing dishes looked at me like that was the most annoying question she’s heard all day and said yes. I attempted to order on the kiosk but wanted to take the coconut out of the bowl which you can’t do on the kiosk so I had to ask her again if I could customize a bowl. Throughly annoyed she got someone else to come help me which he told me I should order on the kiosk. I asked him if I could take the coconut out and he said yes…well the kiosk won’t let me..I tell him this so he decides that he guesses he can just take my order like any other food place, at the register. He takes our order, he wasn’t “rude” but he definitely wasn’t friendly and has ZERO customer service skills! We got our bowls and they were…good. Definitely not great, the fruit was cut into HUGE chunks that you needed to bite in half and the majority of the bowl was granola. Every other smoothie bowl I’ve ever had was a sprinkle of granola on top or a small section of granola..this was literally MOSTLY granola, hardly any of the pitaya base. These bowls are $14 and this one was NOT worth it. Would NOT go back! Also the place isn’t the cleanest either, and I’m not a negative person, I’m pretty chill and rarely complain, expecially with something as simple as getting a smoothie but this service was some of the worst. Don’t waste your time!

Sharing this solely to give the owners feedback to positively improve their product / reputation. I ordered an açaí bowl and quite literally received an entire bowl of granola with a centimeter of açaí scraped on the bottom. Was craving a cold açaí bowl and in return got dry mouthfuls of granola lol. Hope to see some positive changes!

This is a 5 star business all around! ☺️ We first discovered Sunset Island in September 2023 when visiting Vero on vacation. When we returned to Vero in December 2023 and July 2024, we put Sunset Island on the top of our list of places to visit. We are from the Dallas/Ft Worth area and have not come across a fruit bowl/açaí bowl place as high quality and tasty as Sunset Island! ? Pro top - get the Moana base in your bowl, you will not regret it ? The popsicles are also fantastic (I get the coconut popsicle with chocolate syrup and coconut flakes). Another thing we notice is how hygienic the staff is. They wash their hands and wear gloves. My Mom who is vegan and my grandmother who is just a VERY picky eater both love to eat here! And lastly, and definitely not least, they are dog friendly! ? Keep up the 5 star work as you are a huge reason why our Vero beach vacations are so special! ☺️
