My wife and I were in Vero Beach for family business, and had a fantastic meal at The Tides. The service was top-notch – attentive, friendly, competent. The food was delicious – I especially enjoyed the brined pork. And the atmosphere was pleasant and lively.

The food was mostly delicious. Three of us started with the pear salad and one of us started with the leek/potato soup, all of which were delicious. We also shared the scallop appetizer which was good although the risotto was pretty bland. We also shared the tempura shrimp, which I didn't eat, but heard was good. Two of us had the macadamia crusted snapper. I expected a little bit of crunch on the outside but was disappointed that it was quite soft. The peppercorn filet was the star of the night, perfectly cooked. The halibut special was overcooked. We shared two desserts. I was told that the oatmeal dessert was decadent, but very sweet. The key lime pie was not a traditional style. It had a very thick graham cracker crust and the meringue on top was flambeed. I prefer a more traditional key lime pie. The service was disappointing. We ordered a sparkling rose for starters. Our server brought white wine glasses and a rose. Luckily, we caught it before he opened the wine. He wasn't sure what we wanted so then brought out two sparkling wines, neither of which was correct. He said he didn't see the sparkling rose we ordered, but he eventually found in. He was a nice guy, but pretty rough around the edges for such a high-end restaurant. The outside seating was beautiful. Given the high prices and the awards the restaurant has received, I expected a lot better. May give it a second chance, but there is much better food in Vero for better prices.

My wife and I had a great dinner at the tides. We both enjoyed the Filet, and my wife tried the conch fritters and she really enjoyed them. Gina was our waitress and she was great.

The service was wonderful. The food, not so much. I ordered grouper and it was overcooked and dry. The green beans were raw. My wife had the veal and it was mostly breading. The conch fritters were burnt and very pedestrian. The fried shrimp appetizer was less than stellar. I knew they were not fresh but frozen and already peeled because the texture had that unique sodium triphosphate texture. If want to bring your date there for ambience, then yeah, it's a good place. But, if you're into eating well, don't believe the hype.

This was our first time at Tides. We’ve heard about it for years. It was ok. I was expecting a little more since it is located over on the beach in Vero. Everything we had in our group was good, just not outstanding.

The Tides is just a wonderful restaurant. Magical dining on their patio, attentive service, and a delicious meal. The Tides deserves it’s five star reputation.

The service at The Tides was exceptional from start to finish. For starters, my husband had the grilled pear salad and I had the beet salad — both were fresh and full of flavour. For our mains, my husband chose the grouper and I had the halibut from the specials — both were outstanding. I’m not usually a big fish lover, but the halibut was the best I’ve ever had! We finished with the Irish oat cake for dessert, which was the perfect ending to an excellent meal. Everything was flawless!

I decided to take my wife out to dinner for her birthday and after reading the reviews, chose The Tides since we had never been there before. Absolutely the best restaurant my wife and I have found so far in the two years we have lived in Vero Beach and overall best meal we have had in a restaurant in many years! Our waitress was Rachel who was phenomenal, as was Riley, her assistant. A little pricey, but the whole experience was well worth it!

I am surprised the reviews here are as good as they are. My wife and I came while on a long getaway weekend from Atlanta. We found the food uninspired. I had the grouper (one of their signature dishes) which was just okay. It was served with flavorless (piped) mash potatoes and haricot vert. I was paying $45 for an entree that looked like it could have been served at a fundraiser. Our server was very friendly and had good command of the menu and specials. Sitting out on the patio was lovely as the weather was perfect. The key lime pie for dessert was very good. Overall I would say the quality of the food is not worth the prices.

To start this is the best restaurant in Vero, if not all of Florida, The only hiccups, apps did not come out together? , the waiter had to read the Specials, should have known them, ( this is not the Ocean Grill), on Desserts, the bread pudding, left much to be desired and all the others on the tray, were chocolate based. Leanne is better than this!

This is the second time I visited this restaurant, and impressed as the first time. The food is exceptional by all standards. It should be awarded Jame Beard award (or even a Michelin star for ONLY the food)….. so the food: The Roasted Pear Salad…. I think it is the signature salad dish. Large and good to split for two The Crispy Shrimp appetizer…. Award wining dish of its kind The PEI Mussels …. Not the top quality and freshness are the trademark, but the preparation (the taste)….. one of the best you will ever try. The Grouper entree’ is a perfect dish overall, not just the dish. The four cheese penne pasta…. Looks simple, but there is nothing simple about its taste and preparation….. guaranteed to please Here is one of two problems at this restaurant: The first, is the wine list. The first time I dinned there, I brought my own wine and corkage fee was $18. I made a big mistake this time and did not bring my own wine, because the studied the wine list and put 3-5 options to pick. When I placed the order, none of those on the list were available…. Not even a different vintage. They brought me a replacement…. Replace the type of grapes not the winery …. I thought it is odd, plus the wine on the online and the print list have higher ratings by wine experts, the replacement are lower in rating by an average of 5 points and yet the price is the same. So, either update your wine list or don’t list it per se. next time, I will definitely bring my own wine the second problem: the loudness. I know this is a casual place , people from the area dine there to socialize and come with there beach/street clothes the slippers and nice shirts and shorts. Yet, some people would like to have a quiet night and even celebrate a special occasion…. So be ware of the loudness from the large groups especial the large table #23. TIP; if you want a quiet table avoid the two corners beside the large table. Avoid #22 and #24. I made the mistake twice hoping to find more considerate people in the large table. Service: very attentive and friendly Ambience: not a fine dining as they claim… but they serve “The Finest Food” Value: decently priced. If you skip the wine Recommendations: you cannot get better than that in the whole area. A must for foodies.

Restaurant at great reviews so we thought we’d stop by and try it. We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar. The bartender was awesome and she was very accommodating. We started off with the Caesar salad that they split too. It wasn’t enough dressing. Our appetizer was the calamariwhich we split for two. It had a Thai, chili sauce and wasabi however, the calamari was extremely salty. And there was not enough sauce. We ordered the tuna special. The tuna itself was perfect, but it was planned vegetables that went with it the carrots and broccolini good. However, the rice that was served with it was extremely salty. I feel they go easy on the salt. We would’ve enjoyed it better.
