TUESDAY January 14, 2025 TEMPORARiILY CLOSED due to Kitchen fire. AND EVEN NOW I still rate it 5 stars! Hopefully they can reopen soon.
We have been there twice to lunch with group of motorcyclists - very friendly staff - quick service - and very good at handling individual payments. Thanks! Good parking.
Stopped in for lunch. Highly recommend, but be sure to bring your appetite. Very good home cooking with a large menu and generous portions. Even the BLT sandwich comes with a side of choice and a cup of soup with a dinner roll. Very reasonable prices.
Awesome country breakfast. Hardy, filling, delicious. Drove up from Sarasota just for a great meal. Happy I did. Finished off my motorcycle ride on a perfect note. Ask for Andrea the country server.
Great food at great prices well worth the visit!
only a few people in restaurant Sat over an hour waiting on food people were coming in an leaving. waitress asked if we wanted our food to go after explaining cook lost the ticket. need to get it together.
This is the first time we have been here in a few years and we can see the changes and I don't believe that are helping Pauls. We ate her on March 30, 2023 we were alone except for two other people in the restaurant. The service was great and fast, however the food was a different story. The soup was warm. The salads were enormous. The entries were plentiful but not as good as we could remenber. The fish and chips I had was OVERLY breaded and had what seemed to be mushy fish. My wife had stir fry and it was just OK nothing to write home about.
I wish they would be open a little bit longer for breakfast, but we had lunch and it was excellent. I ordered 2 appetizers because I couldn't decide and I figured they would be small portions. Was I surprised! Very large portions and very good quality!
Went for breakfast to this local restaurant. Food was good, pancakes very good. What surprised us was the 75 cent charge for water. Maybe because they serve it in a styrofoam cup? The waitress never mentioned this when we ordered water, if we had known we would not have ordered water or would have brought our own. Other than that it was just ok.
My family and I stopped for dinner after a day of fossil hunting. We didn’t want a chain restaurant so we picked Paul’s Kitchen. The service was as expected and the food was great. Very large portions for the money. I got the chicken stir fry and it was amazing, I wasn’t expecting that. The sirloin steak was huge, very flavorful and cooked to order. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a mom and pop place.

Supper time 6:00 Got seated immediately. Service was bad. We’ve came here a couple times a yr for past 4-5 yrs. don’t know what changed, but really a step back from our last visit here 6 mo ago. Food was hot & good, when it arrived. Waitress didn’t seem to care. Probably won’t be back for a while.
Is a tiny town in Florida called Wauchula is this hidden little gem. Nothing special about the atmosphere or decor. Just friendly fast service and one of the best steaks I've had anywhere. Mashed potato and gravy was a wonderful side.
