This is a great place to go for a nice, affordable meal. The interior has a great nostalgic decor. All entrees come with one side and a side salad. I ordered the country-fried steak with peppers and onions. My wife ordered the fried chicken dinner. Both tasted great. With our meals and two beverages, the bill was under $30 and we had a great lunch.
We're new to the area so we're learning what's around Hardee County. This place is a diamond in the ruff. We had no clue it existed. It's small and if you blink you'll pass right by it. My husband got the ribeye. It was cooked to perfection. My father in law got the country fried steak. Smothered in brown gravy and green peppers and onions. Made the old fashion way! I had the stuffed grouper. Excellent! Mouth watering. The staff was very friendly and helpful....
Delicious food, large portions, friendly service, home environment and always almost packed with customers but we never had to wait for a table. It’s very affordable and the Specials are great.
