Great place, great food, love the atmosphere. If you like enchiladas and Spanish food I highly recommend this place.
Good food options, went for lunch with my wife had some mixed fajitas. Great location in Wellington with enough parking and establishment looks very clean and organized. Alex proved a great service, we will go back to try some margaritas.
We have been coming here since they've opened these doors, and the service and food have always been phenomenal. Thank you for keeping the food real and delicious and the drinks with that special kick. ?
My wife and I have been coming here for years. Great food and service. Great drinks. Thank you for making each time we come an A+ experience.
I dont know what happened to this place but saying they went down hill is an understatement. Four of us went out and not one person could eat their food. It was so bad, one of the worse dinners I've ever had. We used to love it here, the food used to be great. But it seems like they changed their food. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce, the rice was hard and bland, the nachos were soggy with charred burned steak that tasted like hamburger, the enchiladas were swimming in cheese dip, the shrimp tacos were bleh and the shrimp were mot deveined, and the churrasco was awful. The music was so loud we could barely hear each other tall, the server couldn't hear us well. It's a shame to see a place just.. I don't know, fall so far from glory I guess? I can't believe im saying this about this place, but I will not go back there... I don't think any of us will.
I was charged $8 for two glasses of carbonated WATER! My son and I ordered club soda to drink. It took the waitress 10 minutes to bring our carbonated water and no one ever refilled them (both were empty before the waitress brought our check). I saw an $8 charge for "2 soda", so I brought it to the staff's attention (not our waitress as she was too busy to pick up my credit card) explaining the waitress must have mistakenly rung it in as soda since it's only carbonated water. The waitress returned and told me that her manager said it was the same as any other soda. I didn't argue with her the difference between carbonated water and soda but told her I'd never been charged for club soda at any any other restaurant. She asked if I wanted a manager... but I told her she didn't need to get him (he should have come to our table and explained he was charging us $8 for water instead of sending the poor waitress to do it) but to tell him that we would not be coming back. She processed my card and returned it to me and I left without anyone trying to remedy the situation. It's unfortunate that an establishment cares more about $8 than a return customer. But I shouldn't be surprised since they also charge an extra 4% if you pay with a credit card. This was my first time trying this restaurant and sadly, it was such an awful experience that I will never return. The food was ok, but the service and attitude of the staff was terrible. If you do try it, expect the menu prices to be more than the menu they have posted on their website. Also, the prices of sides aren't listed... a side of beans and rice costs $8 because they split it into two $4 sides. No wonder this place was nearly empty at 6:30 on a Friday night.
I never write poor reviews only good ones but couldn't not do a review on tonight's food and service. Yes it was Cinco de Mayo. Restaurant was completely understaffed. Our reservation was at 6:30 did not leave the restaurant until 9:30. Many members of our 12 person party left at 8. The service was completely inadequate and manager said he had no control. We had one of our party that never received their food. Also had a credit card fee added even though paying cash. Have been here many times but never again.
Half off house drinks all day Wednesdays. Good food, would go back for the enchiladas and guacamole any day.
Ordered steak fajita, very little flavor. Salsa for chips had very little flavor too. Allot of food but couldn’t eat eat. Didn’t even take it to go, which I normally do when I have food left. Tequila shots very expensive and the service at the bar was poor.
What a mess! I can understand what being short staffed means to the food and beverage industry however, the inability to communicate or know there’s a problem is unacceptable. When I’m getting my food delivered (flavorless and hastily made) and my family is putting their food into “to go” bags because they were served an hour earlier, there’s a problem! Calling the manager over was fruitless. She displayed a confused look because she was “unaware” of what was happening in her restaurant. From there, she threw the kitchen staff under the bus. Was I expecting to get comped an entree, drinks or maybe an appetizer on the $300 ticket? No way… they wouldn’t understand how to take care of customers. If it wasn’t for us traveling to see family we haven’t seen for years, the experience would have been a negative 1 star. It’s going to take more than a full staff to get this place in better shape. They need to learn the basics of open and honest communication.

This used to be a very good Mexican restaurant. Just went for dinner and it was not so good. They no longer have Modelo beer on Draft ( No Mexican beer on draft). They were playing nasty Regueton music the entire time, not appropriate for children. The service was good. The food was not too bad, but everything was too saucy. I ordered steak and chicken fajitas expecting them to come out sizzling, but it was all covered in an orange sauce, no sizzle just wet. Again not horrible, but not what fajitas should be. We will more than likely not come back. Its a shame. Its not that hard to turn this into a good MEXICAN restaurant. Ambience and presentation is half the battle…
Parking: Plenty of parking
Margarita specials are amazing. Burritos are massive and delicious. Everything was excellent when we went.
First off,my review is not based on food. I went here to grab a quick couple.drinks with my friend. The place looks great. The problem I had was with the bartender..she just stared at me and made a weird look when I just ordered a couple drinks and asked for the check. Do I have to order food if there is a bar? Or was she looking at me weird cause I was ordering a drink at work pm? Either way, this lady was not a bartender and shouldn't be behind the bar. I never complain either..she made me uncomfortable and I will never go here again.
If they answer the phone for take out, and that’s a big if, they put the phone down and never come back to it. So if you hang up it’ll be busy forever. This is not a one off but consistent scenario. And if you get her she’s not very nice. I guess take out is not what they want.I used to go weekly but gave up it was so frustrating. I just tried again and same thing. It’s a Tuesday in summer are they that busy? And BTW it’s the same bar tender who’s been there forever who does this. Either she’s the owner or the owner doesn’t care. No food is worth that aggravation.
My wife and I tried La Fogata for the first time. The service was great, and our waitress was very attentive. My wife had the chimichangas and I had the beef milanese steak. The portions were large and the food was delicious! We will definitely visit again and try some of the other items on the menu.
