El Camino West Palm Beach

Never have I been to a restaurant that to celebrate a birthday and they don't sing happy birthday?!! Was so disappointed that I had to write this review. Went with a party of 10 last night to celebrate my sister's 45th birthday and was so upset. The place itself if nice, warehouse style huge bar with tons of different tequilas and super crowded. Nice wall art and just a beautiful big space. The food also, pretty good, the smoke brisket delicious! Not sure exactly what was going on; whether they were understaffed or what last night but the service was actually so bad, it was comical! They kept bringing us food and drinks that we hadn't ordered. At one point, the manager came and left one of the plates we hadn't ordered in the middle of the table, like for us to keep it and apologized for the confusion. We ate almost half of it and then the waitress came and took it back?! Like really?! What were they going to do with a plate we half ate? Throw it away? They can't serve it to others so why take it back? It is as just overall such a bizarre experience! I tried as hard as I could to keep it together because it was my sister's special day but it really was tough!?? The waitress brought my sister's birthday dessert, placed it in front of her, said happy birthday and literally walked away! We all just looked at each other in shock. At other restaurants, when you celebrate a birthday they make a big deal about it; candles, banging of things, usually all the waiters in the restaurant gather around to cheer you on and sing together. None of that happened here! It was surreal at this point and thus, why I had to write this review to warn others!

We were seated right away for our 530 reservation. Our waitress Megan was attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious as was the watermelon jalapeño margarita. We were eating early to catch a show and got out in just the right amount of time. It was just an outstanding experience all around.

Server had too many tables. No clean up between courses. Had to wait for clean plates after food was served. Drinks came after food was finished. Olivia the manager was FANTASTIC. Good was AMAZING as always GET THE NACHOS!! They have 4 of these wonderful restaurants BUT different policies on Margarita Mondays

Cute place for a date night. Visited on a weekday and got in right away. The tacos are so good!

El Camino has a killer happy hour. $54 all in for the two of us. That included appetizers for food, drinks and a generous tip.

We sat at the outside bar.

I love tamales and they were $3 each.

Service was courteous and attentive. Kitchen was super fast.

Billy's friendly servers I would consider this more of a tequila restaurant considering they have an entire menu of tequila some shots are like $200 so if you like tequila this is a no-brainer come here and check this place out.

Inicially 1 1/2 hours to get a table and it ended up in over 2 hours. We complaint twice and still make us wait. Finally when we got to the table we were 9 and the table was set for 7. Original reservation was for 8 and we talked to the hostess to add a person but she denies that, saying we cancelled the reservation!
Place is busy and staff in the hostess booth doesn't care about helping costumers.
We were about to leave but being a big party hold us from doing so.
Not a happy costumer here.

On the positive side our server Nicole was attentive and nice.

First impressions were great—it's a cute, trendy dining space! However, a closer look revealed a major cleanliness concern. The ceiling, lighting fixtures, and even the artificial tree were heavily covered in dust. In the ladies’ restroom, dust was hanging between the stalls like moss from a tree.

Beyond that, the food temperature was colder than expected for what we ordered, which was disappointing.

I hope management takes steps to improve cleanliness in the upper areas of the dining space, as all that dust is inevitably falling into customers' food. We’d love to return, but these issues need to be addressed to ensure a more sanitary dining experience.
