My wife and I went to Pistache for Thanksgiving. The restaurant offered a price fixe menu which was fine. The onion soup was quite good, one of my favorites. My second dish was steak and fries; my steak was rare instead of medium-rare, and overall, it wasn't memorable. For dessert, we both selected the pumpkin cheesecake. We both found the desert tasteless and lacking body. I could have come out of a high school baking class. The bread is always addictive!!
No one recommended this restaurant to us, we were fortunate enough to come across it on our own. We sat inside for an early dinner at 5 PM. Just a handful of tables were occupied when we arrived. Our server was attentive and efficient. I was not super hungry so I ordered the white bean soup as a starter and a lentil dish as my entree. The soup was flavorful and thick. The lentil “pattie” was topped with citrus sections and a small side of hummus. My companion ordered the Bronzino....
Two days after our lunch, I had a very bad notice. The tip I added was forged up adding extra money. And was very well done, in the slip I signed, so the person that did it may have experience doing it. I follow very tight all my expenses, and found the issue. The restaurant refunded me, bat the money is not the issue. The issue is that now is difficult to trust a place, where I have been several times in the past, also for New Year Eve's.
