My family and I love PolloTropical. We have been coming for years and I am a Rewards Member. It’s our favorite restaurant. Everyone is always so nice, courteous and always professional. Plus the food is excellent!
But tonight I had a terrible experience. I was trying to place an order at the window at the 45th St. drive-through at 11:40pm Friday. Monice seemed very confused on what kind of chicken was available, to the point of even offering crispy chicken.
I ordered a1/2 chicken with yellow rice and beans and a Tropi Chop with brown rice and beans.
When I got to the window I was trying to get her attention to let her know that I get a senior discount, as I just turned 67.
Monice snapped at me that she was helping someone else and immediately asked me for my drivers license identification.
Of course, I had no problem with that because I understand, even though I have a gray beard.
When she opened the window, she took my credit card and did not even look at my drivers license. When I asked her did she give me a senior discount she said “look at your receipt.”
I can’t see that well because of my disability, so I repeatedly and politely asked over and over (she ignored me every time ) could she just tell me yes or no.
Monice then replied “ look at the receipt and if you can’t see it on the receipt, I can’t see it on the receipt.”
I was shocked! I asked for her name and told her that I was going report her to her supervisors, to which she acted like it didn’t even matter.
After I left the drive-through. I noticed that she didn’t even put my sauces in the bag and I had to go back and ask for them.
I just want to say that it was a terrible experience and made me needlessly very, very hurt and upset.
I would hope that you would provide Monice with Customer Service training because no one should be treated the way I was treated tonight.
I did nothing wrong and she was very rude, unprofessional and nasty to me for no reason.

I utilized the drive thru, and was told immediately to go ahead with my order without a greeting. This would have been negligable, but after my first food item I ordered the man said "that it", and then proceeded to ask/say the same after each of my items, which I only had three of, and said please for each time. Then when giving me my food, he didn't say you're welcome, have a goodnight, nothing pleasant despite me wishing him one. He also gave me an unsweet tea when I asked for sweet, which was very disappointing for my pregnant self. It was a G name younger man, I don't recall the full name. But service was quick and food tastes great, besides my incorrect tea.

Ordered food, driver said the store said they didn't have half what I ordered but still delivered a half order... but fully charged me. DONT DO IT! To many other options around. Below is what you get for 30 bucks.

I have to say, bowls are pretty nice from here. And the service is ok but the place is a homeless shelter it's really dirty. They remodeled the place and we. Are legit still finding fried rats i- I can't explain this A for Effort atleast there trying.
