Lovely, quaint and great food
We went to celebrate King Charles coronation. We had a great time. 6 ladies all wearing fascinators and spring dresses. We had the Duchess tea with champagne. Started with tomato soup and quiche. Then tray of sandwiches, scones, sweets. The cinnamon cream and jelly were just right for the perfectly baked scones. Of course the tea was delicious, I had gingerbread tea. My granddaughter had the Tot tea with a little pot of pink lemonade. She loved it. We will definitely be back....read full review
I've been here a handful of times and each time has always been wonderful. The ladies who work here are super sweet, the food is FANTASTIC and they have a huge tea selection - something for everyone! The atmosphere is so quaint, cozy and adorable. It's a very small place, so space is limited, but totally worth going for the experience. Serenity Teahouse & Cafe is a charming spot with a sweet atmosphere and Victorian décor. The food is delicious, with tasty and fresh high tea options including soup of choice, sandwiches, and pastries. The tea is excellent, and the servers are very nice and kind. Many guests have held birthdays and group events there, enjoying the experience and returning with friends.
However, communication with the owner Audrey can be frustrating. One guest described it as similar to communicating with a sixth grader or younger, as she repeats the same answer without clarification. For example, the website and menu state $22 per guest for bottomless mimosas, but Audrey insisted everyone in the group must buy it, refusing to serve just two guests. After days of emails with no reason given, she called a friend instead of the main contact. That friend reported Audrey was rude and disrespectful, leaving a negative feeling. The guest noted that single-serve mimosas and other drinks are served without issue, questioning why a bar set-up is needed for bottomless. They recommend calling Audrey directly to avoid frustration, but suggest Teapots & Treasures Cafe as an alternative for better communication. Despite this, the guest had a great time and did not need the bottomless mimosas.
