First visit in awhile. Enjoyed a drink to start the night right. Service was excellent. I opted for their special (didn’t catch name) but it was a huge dish that consisted of mussels, scallops, shrimp, pasta in marinara sauce. So filling and plentiful seafood serving. Drinks packed a punch. Always a great place to go when wanting the try something new. Give this a try on your next opportunity.

A single page menu and tables with tablecloths not placed on top of each other were out first clues. We expected a true dining experience with special friends and we were not disappointed. Knowledgeable and experienced wait staff. Robust drinks. Ability to engage in conversation without including several other tables. We chose to order differently and there was nothing but favorable reviews around the table. The crab cakes would compete well with the best from Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay. Caution however, the deserts are made on site and they are scrumptious as well as generous ... perhaps better to share. In the know locals go here for wonderful dining.

We ate outside and enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Food and service were great. We enjoyed our Bloody Marys and Manhattans. Hats off to the bartender. Food varied from pizza, to the bisque and salad, to entree. Everyone was pleased with their selections.

Interesting location, Continental Country Club off of SR44. When one hears the words country club, one immediately thinks golf and a nice country club atmosphere. This has golf but a nice country club atmosphere not so much. The windows overlook the pool area which is generic to say the least, continuing with more of the windows you see the driveway to this establishment, as well as the parking lot. So the nice large windows allow for natural light but not too much else. There wasn’t a hostess to greet you, so we just went in bc our part of our party was already seated. Our waitress Michele was extremely organized and systematic. Food was good and fair portions. For example turkey club $15.50 with a side. I think this would fill most men adequately. Their desserts looked delicious. Had a friend come for dinner and said it was the best chicken parmigiana he had ever had. He is Italian from NY too. Would I go back? Yes for the food but not for the atmosphere. Close to the Villages. Once onto SR44 about 2 miles away.

Everything was remarkable, except the hostess who was a…well less than delightful. We had reservation, love the pianist and wait staff. Just thought I was treated poorly when I arrived. Wait until the rest of your party of seven has arrived…Why?

7 of us went to this restaurant. My wife and sister had the roast duck. I had a pasta dish, Bologonise. Another had raveloi. I make better sauce at home. My wife raved about the roast duck. We split a Caesar Salad, which was very good. Bread was hard. We went for dissert afterwards, a lemon cake with blue berries. Not very moist for me tastes. Most had the banna cream pie, which was good, my wife could not finish hers. The drinks were strong and very good.

First time here, and the food was EXCELLENT. Pot roast dinner is phenomenal, perfectly prepared, melt in your mouth tender meat, perfectly-cooked vegetables, tasty gravy, generous portion. It could not have been any better. The linguine with clams also quite nice. Wine prices are fair, and wine selections are excellent. Service was attentive and efficient. I'm picky, and I could find no fault with anything from our dining experience. The food on offer slants toward Italian, but they do have many other excellent non-Italian dishes. The homemade banana cream pie is outstanding. Delicious pie that is not over-sweetened so that the banana flavor shines. Well done, pastry chef! The dining room is well-appointed and quite attractive. So nice to have a well-run restaurant so close by. This is now our favorite restaurant. Food and labor costs for restaurants have increased so much, I don't know how a restaurant of this caliber can provide such high-quality meals at their prices. Is it a little expensive? Yes, but good food and experienced service does not come cheap. Worth every penny and more!

The Oaks on hwy 44 at continental county club is classic dining at a moderate price! Table cloths, live background music, upscale service!

They changed to a limited summer menu. Nothing on the website. Fish heavy. I don’t eat fish. Drinks were a joke. I had a bourbon rocks. Bills comes it’s 5.50 for the bourbon 2.00 for 3 ice cubes. The should just say drinks are 7.50. It’s was like a slap in the face to charge 2 bucks for 3 cubes

Not sure if its the summer menu, new kitchen staff, or the place has new owners. No matter what the quality has definitely changed. There was nothing redeeming of the entire meal except for the drinks Which is amazing because this place could barely make a decent drink before. Maybe we got lucky No wine to buy on the table either. As for the food and timing. Horrible Yes both. Over cooked is a perfect word to describe it. Also severely lacking seasoning Lame excuses also. I just saw this week's summer menu. We will not be going it's unappealing One more chance that's it.

I have been to this restaurant once or twice a year for abut 5 years now and so far, it has been worth the ride. If you have passed it on State Road 44 in Wildwood you have missed a nice place. Next time stop in you will be glad you did.

The Oaks on 44 is our favorite restaurant. From the hostess to the server everything is first class. They have the best chef. We have never had a bad meal. Our favorites are Chicken Picatta and Chicken Parmesian. Large portions and a wonderful presentation. B & C

They were welcoming and we had a lovely experience. Our guests had a bit of a problem with the prime rib being too rare and returning it twice. It's a real blast from the 1970's country club setting. The delicate piano music was lovely. We will go back.

Opentable Diner

Most all places in The Villages were booked. We stumbled upon The Oaks and are so glad we did! Food was spectacular, the ambiance was unique and staff were very accommodating.
