I live in Pittsburgh and come to visit my sister in Florida every year in March. Miz Kathi's is a must on my list. Wonderful, creative menu filled with delicious Southern delights.

The quality of the food is the star of the show at Miz Cathie’s. However, the service runs a close second.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are very limited but ask your server for what you would like. My wife generally asks for modifications to menu options and is accommodated.

My wife had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were very undercooked, and the chicken was overfried and crispy. My mother-in-law had the meatloaf.. She had asked for no mashed potatoes and substitute with a side salad with no gravy on the meat loaf. She
Received a meatloaf that was all broken apart with gravy and mashed potatoes. Made the side salad good, then charged for the side salad. I had a cheeseburger that was very good. This was a birthday party and we purchased a cake. The first layer of the cake was not cooked, and overall, where's the worst cake we ever had. Over the years, we've been to this restaurant many times and never had a problem. This was the worst experience we've ever had. We no longer
Recommend this restaurant.

Atmosphere is adorable and cozy. Our waiter was friendly but overworked. What food we got to try was tasty. Will certainly not come back because of the service.
We waited nearly 1.5 hours for our entrees to come out. We informed our waiter that we had an event to attend at the 1 hour mark, and he let us know they'd have it boxed up to go in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later and no food. Yet the moment we ask for a refund because we are now going to be late to our event, it magically appears.
Our waiter tried his best to make things up to us, so I don't fault him. But if the kitchen is THAT busy and backed up, at least give us our money back and let us leave. It felt like a big waste of over $100. I hope this was just a bad day out of the norm.
Edit: Even after THAT long of waiting, they STILL forgot part of our order. I'm fuming.

We enjoyed our food. However I think because of the craft fair across the street and the server said someone had called in, our service was very slow. Our server was not very friendly and my friend had to get up and track her down to get some hot coffee. We never got a bill, we had to go up to the register when someone else was getting rung out to request one so we could pay and leave.

This is such a sweet and special restaurant. It is difficult to commit to a specific meal. Go with a friend to split and share two different dishes. I’ve never had a bad meal. They say to save room for dessert, but you can just take it to go. All food is fantastic.

We had takeout last night and my wife did not like her chicken pot pie. Plus, they forgot her salad. She called and had to drive back there for a plate exchange to meatloaf. They gave her a free dessert for her trouble. My lamb shepherd pie was okay, not great. Cornbread is pretty good too. House salad I threw away as it was meh. The food quality does not match the prices, unfortunately.

Deserves a million stars! The food was out of this world, the service fabulous and the place was a virtual museum of old fashioned Florida southern living! What a fantastic dining experience. We can't wait to go back!

It was difficult to choose what to eat, everything on the menu sounded wonderful. I wanted to skip right to the desserts. We had a burger and a honey pimento cheese sandwich. The burger was hefty & very juicy, saturating the bottom bun. Our friend's burger was undercooked but sent back and returned perfect. The portions were generous. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was quaint using eclectic pieces of China. Some of the southern charm could have been updated. The curtains were worn. Lots of clutter. Definitely recommend a reservation because the dining area is small. This place could make a killing with a bigger location!
