We were surprised at how good this restaurant was! Large selection of food choices, and the Shepherds Pie was delicious! The fried shrimp were huge butterfly shrimp with a light tasty batter. The homemade cakes and pies were amazing.
What a great find! It is an amazing spot with great staff and great food.
Not the best breakfast. Biscuits were cold and dry even with the gravy. Hashbrown casserole had strange taste. Coffee not hot. Bacon right out of the microwave. Overall not worth returning. Server Olivia was very good.
Met with friends for dinner and couldn’t decide what I wanted when the waiter suggested the Thursday special of turkey with cornbread stuffing and mashed potatoes. We all took his suggestion and boy were we pleased! The turkey was so juicy and tender I joked that’d I’d like to get a job just to learn their secret. I’m a good good and everyone has always said I make juicy moist turkey, but this was over the top. I’d go every Thursday if I could just to eat their turkey. We were so full as the portion was generous that we had to skip dessert. That is something I rarely do when we eat here as their cakes and pies are so wonderful. Now I can’t wait to go back but it’ll have to be a Thursday because I’m craving that turkey! All my friends said the same thing. In the past I’ve had many of the other dishes that they have and must say, all have been delicious. Just be aware, it’s a very small place so do make reservations. Also, if you like lighter fare such as sandwiches, they stop serving those options after lunch and only offer full meals in the evening. I noticed on this trip that they now serve breakfast. I can’t wait to try that it there. If it’s had as good as their other food I’ll be in heaven. And the staff deserves praise for their great service!
I live in Pittsburgh and come to visit my sister in Florida every year in March. Miz Kathi's is a must on my list. Wonderful, creative menu filled with delicious Southern delights.

The quality of the food is the star of the show at Miz Cathie’s. However, the service runs a close second.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are very limited but ask your server for what you would like. My wife generally asks for modifications to menu options and is accommodated.

My wife had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were very undercooked, and the chicken was overfried and crispy. My mother-in-law had the meatloaf.. She had asked for no mashed potatoes and substitute with a side salad with no gravy on the meat loaf. She
Received a meatloaf that was all broken apart with gravy and mashed potatoes. Made the side salad good, then charged for the side salad. I had a cheeseburger that was very good. This was a birthday party and we purchased a cake. The first layer of the cake was not cooked, and overall, where's the worst cake we ever had. Over the years, we've been to this restaurant many times and never had a problem. This was the worst experience we've ever had. We no longer
Recommend this restaurant.

Atmosphere is adorable and cozy. Our waiter was friendly but overworked. What food we got to try was tasty. Will certainly not come back because of the service.
We waited nearly 1.5 hours for our entrees to come out. We informed our waiter that we had an event to attend at the 1 hour mark, and he let us know they'd have it boxed up to go in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later and no food. Yet the moment we ask for a refund because we are now going to be late to our event, it magically appears.
Our waiter tried his best to make things up to us, so I don't fault him. But if the kitchen is THAT busy and backed up, at least give us our money back and let us leave. It felt like a big waste of over $100. I hope this was just a bad day out of the norm.
Edit: Even after THAT long of waiting, they STILL forgot part of our order. I'm fuming.

We enjoyed our food. However I think because of the craft fair across the street and the server said someone had called in, our service was very slow. Our server was not very friendly and my friend had to get up and track her down to get some hot coffee. We never got a bill, we had to go up to the register when someone else was getting rung out to request one so we could pay and leave.

This is such a sweet and special restaurant. It is difficult to commit to a specific meal. Go with a friend to split and share two different dishes. I’ve never had a bad meal. They say to save room for dessert, but you can just take it to go. All food is fantastic.

What a gem of a restaurant. Extensive menu, decidedly Southern and high quality results. I could try everything on the menu which would be quite a feat. A little slow but not bad service but we weren't in a hurry. Well worth the effort to dine there. I'm from Orlando. Highly recommend!
Wonderful place with true Southern home cooking! Polite staff and very knowledgeable about the history of the building.
Parking: Twice I’ve gotten the same spot up front.
