I’m not sure about Japanese bbq because it was too sweet for us. But the service was ok!

Food was amazing and everything was great. EXCEPT when I look at my bank account a couple days later and noticed they OVERCHARGED my card by over $41 when gratuity was already included on our GROUP OF 4! very weird…. Imagine how many people they have done this to….

THE MANAGER/OWNER IS SO RUDE. It took them 45 minutes to bring out the first plate of meat and 15-20 minutes each round. Apparently, the first round was the salads and soup?... They lied about checking the cameras when we told them to do so. Overall just DONT COME HERE.

We waited 45 minutes for the first plate of meat, and then they demanded we pay for the meat we were about to eat, or they would call the police. This place is a total scam.

My husband and I came here for some Ramen and unfortunately we can't say anything good about it. The broth was way too salty and the pork was very tough to chew. Just want to give fair warning to anyone else looking to get Ramen here, probably better to stick to the bbq even though we didn't get a chance to try it. Service was also slow at the time we were there.

My first experience in this place was very good although it is very busy the service was fast and the food was very good 👌 after 2 days I decided to go try more dishes from their menu and as I said it is busy and the wait for a table was approximately 40 minutes and I decided to wait, but on this second and last time, in addition to waiting those 40 minutes, we had to wait 1 hour and a half for just 2 noodles and a rice, the place was already half empty and even so they took that long and The truth is that poor dishes that were half full and full of fat were not worth it, I left the place starving and very disappointed. It was disrespectful to us to make us wait so long.

Quite good but still expensive for a plate consisting mainly of rice, the meat being present in very small quantities. Good discovery all the same

My family and I been to this place twice before while at Flamingo Crossings, and both the food and service have gone downhill. Last night, we made the mistake of going there for a birthday celebration, and it was an experience we all deeply regret. When we tried to order, the server mentioned that, because the "owner" was present, they were only allowed to bring out two orders at a time for cooking. Absolutely absurd! It took them a ridiculous 30 minutes just to bring out each round of food.

We paid about $60 per person, and honestly, it felt like a complete scam. The delays were unbearable, and to make it worse, the meat and seafood were overly salty. We should’ve gone to the Italian restaurant nearby instead. Save yourself the trouble—this place is absolutely not worth your time or money. Strongly not recommended!

It was a great atmosphere, the staff were very friendly some of the meats were a bit salty for my liking. But I still enjoyed my first time here. There was a large selection available for all you can eat.

I do not ever find myself writing a review for a place as soon as I get home from the dining experience ever, but this place is so shameful here I go;

- Gyu Kaku is a popular Japanese BBQ chain that I have eaten at several hundred times in Japan metro areas where I am a commercial real estate investor. It is a very popular place with excellent service and I often take large groups of employees and friends to both the gas burner and hot rock locations and have never had a bad experience. We will sit and dine for hours having many drinks and ordering several rounds of food to cook. Its a very festive atmosphere and a great place to celebrate over a 2-3 hour meal. Usually I spend 80,000 JPY - 150,000 JPY on a group and its always amazing.

- I noticed that they have started to have locations here in the USA. A few days ago I took my wife and 2 kids to the turkey lake location and found it to be a great experience comparable to experiences I have had in Japan.

- I had family visiting from NY state this weekend and we wanted to go out for a big group dinner. I thought that there would be no better place than Gyu Kaku which they have never been to.

- I chose wrong. We had a party of 7 and they tried to squeeze us in to a table large enough for a party of 4. When we first showed up the table was completely loaded with the dining plates and the sauce plates for 7 people to such a degree that there would be no place to even set ordered food or drinks. Right away the server had to take away all of the sauce plates for us to even have drinks. It was a crowded chaotic mess and since my guests has never eaten there and I was too far away from the single grill in the middle, my wife had to end up cooking all of the food for our entire party. Every time the server came to the table with a set of food, we had to quickly figure out what to move around to even let her set down the food items. It was ridiculous for this type of dining.

There was no chance to sit and dine for hours ordering several rounds of food or drinks because there was no room for the server to even set anything down and it was too cramped and crowded. It was work to make sure you didn't spill a drink on yourself trying to shuffle the plates around every time the server brought more food.

The table they put us at was in the back private room with 2 grills large enough for 8 people, but instead of giving the entire table to our party, they put a divider in the middle and had just under 16 people squeezed in the room. It was an insult to anyone who is familiar with this type if dining.

I made it quite clear to them that I was very displeased and that this is not the kind of experience I expect to have at Gyu-Kaku. they had nothing to offer but shallow apologies but they did not do anything to display that they cared. It was shameful and I have never had anyone in Japan act this way delivering such a terrible and insulting experience for the money paid and thinking a weak apology makes it better. Actions speak. Shallow words are weak.

In contrast to my usual large bills spent eating a large meal at Gyu Kaku we only got thru $275 worth of ordering before I had to get out of there it was so infuriating and terrible. I could barely stand to leave a tip it was so awful. With a group of 7 I would expect to sit and dine to the level of $800 at minimum, $1,200 if the drinks were great. (they dont seem to make Japanese highball here or have liquor)

I would recommend against going to this place at all costs and the management needs to learn some level of excellence and quality expected for this type of dining before tarnishing the Gyu Kaku name any further.

I would never dine at any of the locations in USA again with a party larger than 4. They do not know how to handle it and you will have a terrible time being squished into a small table meant for 4 people with a large party.

This visit I utilized the Magical Dining menu. I have also eaten here on the All-you-can eat menu. The food is always excellent. The various marinades & dipping sauces enhance the flavors and don't hide the taste of the meat. Service has always been excellent. Knowledgeable and fast. Able to answer any question form ingredients to cooking times. I have nothing bad to say about Gyu! It's one my top places to eat in the West Orlando/Disney area!

Food was fresh and hot because you must cook your own food. The noise level is unbearable. The background music is loud and obnoxious. The clientele have to scream to be heard which makes it that much louder. Will not go back.

They were not busy at a 3:45pm reservation. Had to remind the server a few times for things we asked for. Food was brought out at different times instead of together with our kid's and not normal like kid's come first. A big time difference in when it was brought out.

Absolutely our go-to place when it comes to BBQ. There’s so many out there now so it’s hard to tell which is better than which but we love it here. Wide selections and delicious appetizers. My husband loves to eat meat and he really appreciates the high quality of steak here. Try this place!

We paid $100 for dinner one night while staying at Home2 Suites last week and it was not flavorful at all! It was so bland and barely had any taste. That’s way too much for food that’s nasty. ?? We were in town for Disney World and it was across from our hotel - not impressed AT ALL.
