I dont know what to say about this place. Let’s just start by the fact that today I learned food could have 3 temperatures in the same bite: cold, warm and hot. My partner ordered philly steak and broccoli and I ordered chorizo and caramelized onions. Mine was okay, the chorizo tasted good, but instead of giving me caramelized onions, they gave me raw onions, the cheese tastes like velveeta mac and cheese and the macaroni looked almost like rigatoni. 5/10 but definitely not worth 17$. My partner’s was really bad, the first bite was cold, warm and hot at the same time, the philly steak was not seasoned at all and just tasted like cardboard, the broccoli was okay, we just could taste the velveeta mac and cheese and the wannabe macaroni. My partner described it as “school lunch mac and cheese”. We paid 37$ for both portions and we couldnt finish either cuz it wasnt enjoyable. Also, the guy that helped us looked like he didnt wanted to be there and the stand was the only one that didnt have any sort of light so we literally had to turn on our flashlight to look at the menu. Will definitely not come back for such a mediocre food that goes for sit down restaurant prices.

The Mac n cheese is kinda overcooked and it’s basically some uncooked bread crumbs on top of watery velveeta sauce (some ppl like that tho) and it’s like 3 different tempts beneath the breadcrumbs, cold, warm, and hot lol I compare it to school lunch lac n cheese that I paid $15 for

They accidentally gave me a large instead of a kids size, didn't charge me any extra. Besides being cool dudes, the mac was delicious.

Went to this place and watched the manager completely disregard our needs. The staff was doing the best they could to help. But listening to the manager Travis talk about his staff and treat them horribly was just bad for business. If I was the owner he would be let fo immediately. So unprofessional!
This is the best mac! We added pork belly and chorizo, delicious! It's locates in the cutest little food hall with tons of seating and free parking.

They serve up tasty variations of Mac and cheese. The portion you get is quite large, and I've often struggled to finish the whole thing, but it is sure worth it. I'd highly recommend giving them a chance if you get the opportunity ??

This Mac and cheese could feed a small army! When I got it, I thought it was a lasagna, SOOO BIG! The food was really good, but honestly i didn’t think it was possible to have too much Mac and cheese until now! SOOO FULL!

I came out to the Plant Street Market recently, to see what all the hype was all about. Some places are so over-hyped, but this place was not one of those place. The Market was absolutely appropriately hyped. The quantity and quality of the food stalls within were banging. One of those stalls I stopped at was this place, MAC'd OUT. Build your own mac 'n' cheese? These opportunities don't come around very often. I had to take advantage. There are a few curated macs that sounded pretty good, but I like personally being able to customize, so I dove in to the surprisingly affordable ala carte options.I don't remember exactly what I got, but I do know that chicken breast and caramelized onions were involved. Either way, they loaded up the tray, passed it through the rolling oven thing, and served it to me.The portion size of this thing was shocking. I'm not complaining. Just be forewarned. You should share this thing with one or two other people. So much tender chicken, so many perfectly cooked noodles, all smothered with that classic colored cheese you've been eating since you were a kid, and topped with slightly charred bread crumbs that added the perfect texture to this dish. This place, and the associated Chicago Stop, seemed to have employed young folk that couldn't get off their phones for longer than 15 seconds at a time. Must have been a good TikTok they were watching. Again, not a detractor for me. Just don't expect pleasant customer service. If you like mac 'n' cheese, and the people out there who are mac fans are True mac fans, you will love this place. Come here. I'll be back.

The first time I tried Mac’d Out I was not a fan. However, I gave it another shot and am glad I did and have eaten there multiple times since! Good service and great Mac! Chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, red peppers ? ? ?

They take a simple dish like Mac and Cheese and elevate it to the next level. Located in the Plant St. Market, their mac and cheese was rich and creamy and flavorful and the portion size was gigantic all with reasonable prices. I'll be going back.

Really delicious! I ordered the Southwest and asked for bacon. I didn't know they would replace the chorizo with bacon. My mistake. It was still really good.I went back and ordered a chorizo with gorgonzola. Great value!

Great place! Noodles a tad bit dense and very little chicken in the 2 we got but would definitely go back to try some other ones.
