The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill - Winter Garden, FL

A business is ultimately defined not just by the quality of its food, but by the level of customer service provided when issues arise. On June 13, 2025, my partner and I decided to visit the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Winter Garden, FL, eager to try their enticing two-for-$15 deal. The individual taking our order had pink hair, and when I stated my desire to order the deal, I specifically requested the avgolemono soup along with a gyro. My better half opted for the grilled steak souvlaki, but the employee informed me that it wasn’t included in the deal. I simply told her to let her choose whatever she wanted. I paid for the order without hesitation.

After taking a seat outside, we eagerly awaited our meal. My avgolemono soup was served promptly, but a few minutes later, the grilled steak souvlaki appeared while my gyro was still missing. When I pointed this out to the server, he insisted I hadn’t ordered it. Frustrated, I explained the situation, emphasizing that my partner refused to eat until I received my correct order.

Determined to resolve the issue, I returned inside to discuss my order with the male employee at the register. To my dismay, he echoed that I hadn’t ordered the gyro. I then identified the woman in pink hair , who recognized her error and admitted that she misunderstood my request. Instead of offering an apology and quickly remedying the situation, the male employee shockingly suggested that I should pay extra for the gyro.

This blatant failure to acknowledge a mistake and rectify it, coupled with their argumentative demeanor, was exceedingly disappointing. As a result of this experience, I have no intention of returning to this establishment and will share my story with others. It’s clear that exceptional service is just as critical as a great meal, and this business fell short on both counts.

We drive out of the way to come to this location. Dolmades are delicious and the chicken Greek salad is refreshing and filling.

Terrible service. I ordered take out and got a text message that my food was ready. When I arrived I told the lady at the register that I was there for pickup and she promptly told me that it was not ready. I told her I had a message saying my items were ready and she still told me it was not ready. I stepped aside and waited for roughly 10 minutes before going back to the register to ask if the order was ready and she told me oh yes it just came up. This was a lie because I was looking at this order in the window the whole time I was waiting thinking that someone else must have ordered the same thing my family got for takeout. When I opened the bag all of the food was lukewarm from sitting in takeout boxes. I can't believe it took them 40 minutes to hand me a cold order for takeout. Terrible service.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Andrea at The Great Greek in Hamlin and I can’t say enough great things about her! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm that it instantly made my day. Her customer service is truly top-tier—attentive, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful.

Andrea went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect with my order, and she did it all with a genuine smile and a positive attitude that made the whole experience unforgettable. You can tell she really cares about her work and the people she’s serving.

It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency, kindness, and professionalism so effortlessly. Andrea is a true asset to The Great Greek, and I’ll definitely be coming back—not just for the delicious food, but because of the amazing service she provides.

First time customer, definitely returning soon to try other dishes. Ordered takeout of Chicken Souvlaki with rice , side Greek salad, pita slices and delicious tzatziki that actually has dill as an ingredient! (most places leave out dill & include excessive amount of garlic). Enjoy their fresh tasting Greek Mediterranean meal and look forward to exploring more. The staff was courteous and pleasant also!

Great food probably the best hummus I have ever had. Our server Andrea was wonderful, cherry and a hard worker.

Visiting from SC and always like to find places that serve delicious gyros. Theirs were plentiful and tasty. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Outdoor patio seating was pleasant with a great atmosphere. The waitstaff/service was friendly and helpful.

Parking: In an outdoor mall, so plenty of free parking with handicap spaces too.

This place is awesome! The food and the staff are all incredible! I didn’t even like Mediterranean food until I ate here and now I can’t get enough of it! I use to hate hummus and I crave theirs! I definitely recommend it!
