They’re fun drinks and some food items change seasonally. The baristas are knowledgable about what drinks can and cannot be made vegan. The chai has a dairy derivative so avoid that! I had vegan, gluten-free Oreo waffles and a London fog latte and all was delicious! They also have a pastry case at the front, not listed on their online menu, that has more vegan options.
Ordered sandwiches and drinks with one of the sides being potatoes. We got 8 oil soaked tater tots and when i called to ask about this they told me that is the portion size and they are using these until they get new potatoes. So they think this is a normal portion size and quality for something that costs $16-$17. The woman on the phone talked like this is totally fine and normal for this restaurant but it is not okay. The sandwiches were also lackluster and not worth the price of $16-17. Only the drinks were okay and would prefer i got a refund for something of this low quality for the food. It was our first time here and we are very disappointed.

The food was great, but the seats were a little uncomfortable. The decor was nice overall.

I ordered the chicken cheese artichoke sandwich on sourdough and it was excellent. It was very cheesy and the chicken tasted fresh. The sandwich comes with a choice of fruit or soup and we went with the tomato bisque, which paired perfectly. My girlfriend tried their matcha drink and really enjoyed it. She mentioned it is not sweet by default so she recommends asking for three pumps of sugar. I ordered their cinnamon latte which was DELICIOUS. Overall it was great food and a nice experience.

Tried this place for the first time on Sunday. My order had a few minor errors, but the owner addressed them quickly and professionally. It’s clear she genuinely cares about both her customers and the community, and wants guests to feel good about coming back. I appreciate how she handled the situation and will be returning.

Edited Review (8/2/2025) 5 ⭐️: After we left our previous review, the owner (Ashley) reached out to us personally to get our story and see how they could make it right. After a discussion, we agreed to come back in when we had the time. The experience the 2nd time was MUCH BETTER. The food was the way we remembered (I did try their Blueberry French Toast and thought it could've been a lot sweeter, but that was a personal preference. My wife had their Steak sandwich and LOVED it). The quality of the food was better, the atmosphere was more homey and relaxed, and the customer service was 20 times better. Thank you so much, Three Birds, for going out of your way to own up to the experience we previously had and to rectify the mistakes that were made. We will definitely come back again as regulars.
Previous Review (March 2025) 2 ⭐️: We have been going to Three Birds Cafe for years. It's been one of our favorite spots for breakfast food and coffee. We've never had a bad experience until now.
I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast sandwich with truffle fries. We got the fries for our son, but he wouldn't eat then because they had a weird aftertaste. The sandwich with pretzel bun I received was burnt, unsalted and hardly edible. The food isn't what led to this negative review. It was the service we were treated to.
When I brought up the points I mentioned before, they said they changed the truffle oil it was cooked in and that it wasn't burnt and that's how the pretzel bun looks. They apparently receive a different one and that this one is gluten free. They gave off the impression that it wasn't them, it was me who was the issue, even though the bun was basically black on the bottom.
I didn't need them to do a refund or anything, but a little sympathy and empathy goes a long way. I know the pretzel bun was gluten free previously, so then were they lying before? We won't ever know for sure. Hopefully this was a one time occurance, but I know my family won't be eating there again. Not worth the money spent if the food quality and customer service is so low.
