Got 8 steak tacos and it was AMAZING (went back for more) , I've been looking for an authentic place to get tacos and this is the place. Love the ambiance of the lobby I love cozy small dining area. And the food came out pretty fast and the guy at the register was nice. Hope this place gets more customers they deserve it. :))

Came here because of the reviews and they were correct! The customer service is exceptional. The ambiance is inviting, comfortable and clean. The food is delicious. We had burritos, birria ramen and birria tacos. The birria tacos were loaded with shredded beef and no fatty pieces!!! Everything we ordered was spot on! Thank you Tres Amigos for a great time and meal!

My wife and I I were very excited to see that this taco place was in the top 100 across America. So we drove 30 minutes to try this highly rated restaurant. We cannot tell how much we were disappointed in the quality of the meat. We ordered the steak tacos because the ingredients list "skirt steak" and I can promise you what they cooked was NOT skirt steak but flank steak. Well how do I know this after 30 years cooking I know my meats. Skirt steak is fatty, juicy and easy to eat, the flank steak isn't fatty very lean meat which was in the steak tacos. I understand why they use flank steak because it's cheaper but lacks fat and flavor. Skirt steak is also more expensive than flank steak. However no matter restaurant should purposely defraud customers knowingly. Now maybe the meat distributor is not telling them the truth but either way they need to change the menu immediately to "flank steak". I am not sure how a company that misleads its customers made it into the top 100, really makes me question Yelps authenticity about their reviews and rankings. The salsa was good, the rice and beans were good but the flank steak was like chewing a rubber tire. Here is the link so you can read the differences between Skirt and flank steak.

Tres Amigos grill is the best, everything I’ve had is fresh and tasty. Chef John’s skirt steak is a steak lovers dream, and I highly recommend this Tex-Mex restaurant. I bought some of his salsa to go and shared it with my family and that was a home run also. Again, try this place, the reviews are accurate, it’s a small little place with awesome food.
AMAZING tacos!! This place is a MUST try!! Definitely exceeded my expectations. It has a very positive ambiance. John was super kind to us and he is a amazing chef. We are going to be coming back to this spot every time we are in Winter Garden area.

We tried Tres Amigos for the first time tonight and it was delicious! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Chef John at the counter and his wife, Stephanie. They were both very pleasant, friendly, and helpful with the menu options. I ordered the skirt steak bowl and asked to modify to a veggie base instead of rice and beans. The meat was tender and the guacamole and queso had great flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly and the veggies were nice and fresh. My husband ordered the pork carnitas street tacos and those had excellent flavor also. The pork was nice and crispy on the outside. They also sell their homemade salsa to go and they told us they’re at the Winter Garden farmers market every Saturday. You can tell they really take pride in the quality of their food and service. It seems like it’s mostly takeout as there are a couple small tables and bench w/stools inside. It was very clean and decorated nicely. Plenty of parking and very reasonable prices. This is a hidden gem for sure and we will definitely be back! Love supporting a local business owner.
Love how fresh and delicious this food was! We all had something different and each of us loved our meal! You can tell the quality and freshness was immediately noticed right away. One of the best Skirt steaks and also the shrimp were done so perfectly. Honestly we couldn't say enough about this place. We will definitely be back!
We had a great experience here. Both had stuffed tacos and we were stuffed afterwards! Food was cooked fresh, great flavor and portions. Staff was super friendly as well! We will be back.

I thought the food was ok. I ordered a bowl but was surprised how little chicken was actually served in it. Nice flavor and I did enjoy it but they should give a little more protein in the bowl. I should have complained at the time but it was just a couple of kids working there.

Great, friendly service! We dined in the restaurant. Impeccably clean. Our order was grilled over the fire as we waited. Smelled amazing! My husband had the skirt steak tacos and I had the shrimp bowl. While waiting, we snacked on salsa with chips. Judging from the quality of the ingredients, I am positive I would have loved anything off the menu. The owner cares about his business, takes pride in his work, and does not cut corners. His food is proof.
