It was nearly closing time when we arrived and were a bit put-off by the mental picture of a restaurant attached to a gas station. When me and my wife talked it over, we decided to move past that stigma because "maybe this is one of those hidden gem/hole-in-the-wall places". And let me tell you, I am sure glad we did. From the moment we walked in the door, the smell of the food being prepared in their kitchen caused my mouth to water to the point that I found it difficult to place my order without slobbering all over myself. While we waited for our food, there was a family that was eating at the table next to us. Their was no conversation among them; only focus on the effort of enjoying their meal to it's fullest extent. This only served to build our anticipation.Walking out I was pleased with the weight of the food in my take out bag. I raced home and skipped the prayer, but I was inviting the Lord to my table when every bite solicited an involuntary "Dear God..." response. Any thought of manners or cleanliness quickly departed from me as I took the first few bites of grilled pork chops. My wife, in similar fashion, refused to speak to me with any clarity for fear it might allow the flavor of her pulled pork to escape her lips. Our meal became a solemn, silent moment of praise. Praising our creator for the fact of creation, and praising they who have prepared our food in such a manner that can only be described as worship. The only words exchanged between me and my wife this night were "Good God", "Try this", and "We are going back here for sure".This food cured my depression and saved my marriage. It then jeopardized it when my wife reminded me I needed to save some for lunch tomorrow. When she took my last bits of porkchop and cornbread for a Tupperware meal, I found myself licking the insides of the to-go container, like some tweaker desperate for just one more taste. When the meal was over and I found myself content, I immediately called my mother and cried because her meals have never brought me this close to happiness.

Great service. Good food. First time while visiting the area. A friend of mine and I both had the chicken & rib combo with mac 'n cheese. Very reasonable prices and very gracious portions. There is an enclosed screened in porch to dine in or it would be good for take out. Nothing special or fancy, just good food at very reasonable prices.

I finally got a shot to try the Wood fire and Charcoal grilled meats from this Mom and Pop chain. I bought my food from the food truck location. We tried the Chicken and rack of ribs with honey BBQ sauce on the side. The meat was lightly seasoned, juicy and not dry. The skin was lightly toasted and not overly charred. The price was reasonable for a Wood fire Charcoal grill. The smoke filled the meat. I also had plain sliced bread. There is no seating by the food truck location, but you can order and they bring your order to your car. It's not a fancy looking spot, but have to give 5 stars for friendly prompt service, and that Wood Charcoal flavor, that is increasingly hard to find. The Restaurant fronts they operate offer more items, but they also use Wood Charcoal to cook with. Recommend a visit to the food truck location, but come after 11am.

food was not good, brisket was all fat, and they had to go into a gas station to get my Mac n cheese and greens. bread was hard and like sliced sandwich bread, not toasted or nothing. but it was HARD. The lady I spoke with on the phone was really rude. Basically told me to keep this food for three days to return or replace my order. greens were not that great, Mac n cheese could've used a little seasoning. the stove had a to of non food or items sitting on it, and paper bags, condiment containers etc. i heard grey things about it and decided to try it and paid $19 for my meal and it was a complete waste of my lunch time at work and of my money!!!!

Best BBQ place in town. Wide selection of entrees and sides. They give big portion. And the prices are reasonable. Customer service is great. If you're looking for fresh "home cooked" meal choices that taste amazing, I highly recommend Big Daddy's in Winter Haven on 1st Street.

This place is very unassuming, and honestly, that's always a good sign that a place will have something that downright slaps. My friends, let me steer you towards the ribs. They are the perfectly soft meat, smothered in their sauce that you can tell is made by them and different to any other BBQ place I've ever had. Their sides were lacking a bit, beans tasted canned and mac and cheese had good taste but on the dry side. Was hoping to try their banana pudding or peach cobbler, but we went super close to closing time so was not surprised that they were out. I will be back for the ribs again.

I recently had the pleasure of takeout at Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que, and let me tell you, it was an experience that left me longing for more. As soon as I sank my teeth into their barbecue pork ribs, I knew I was in for a treat. The meat was so tender, succulent, and bursting with smoky flavor that it practically melted in my mouth. Fall of the bone greatness. Every bite was a journey through savory delight, leaving me craving another serving before I'd even finished. But the culinary magic didn't stop there. The collard greens were an exquisite culinary masterpiece. Cooked to perfection, they had just the right balance of texture and taste. The tangy and slightly bitter notes of the greens were harmoniously complemented by delicate seasonings, creating a symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. And let's not forget about the potato salad - a true testament to the art of barbecue cuisine. Creamy, slightly tangy, and perfectly seasoned, it was the ideal side dish to accompany the ribs. It added a refreshing element to each bite, completing the sensational flavor journey with its delightful texture and taste. But the climax of this gustatory voyage came with their peach cobbler. Oh, the heavenly combination of warm, gooey peaches, perfectly spiced with hints of cinnamon and topped off with a golden, buttery crust. Each spoonful transported me to a place of pure bliss, where the flavors of summer danced on my taste buds. A bite of this divine dessert was like a love letter to my senses, filling me with sheer joy and a longing to return for more. It's safe to say that my experience at Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que was nothing short of extraordinary. The exceptional tenderness of their barbecue pork ribs, the flavorful collard greens, the delectable potato salad, and the mouthwatering peach cobbler - every bite left an indelible mark on my taste buds, and my heart. I simply can't wait to return for another unforgettable culinary expedition to tryout there other dishes at Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que. They also have breakfast too. Fish fry with grits, YUM!!!
