“I made reservations for my family since it suggested it on their website. My husband ,3 sons and I arrived and the hostess brought us to a table that was waiting for us! That was a pleasant and appreciated surprise to not have to wait. Our server,Jordyn was attentive and friendly she had perfect timing with drinks appetizers , main courses and desserts. We ordered 3 appetizers for the table and 5 different meals as well as two desserts for us each to have a sample of. Everything was not only full of flavor and perfectly prepared but also absolutely beautifully plated. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner ,Cindy, and she answered our questions about some of the flavors that we couldn’t quite place. We also discussed the history of the restaurant. It’s nice to see owners/managers in the dining area. We will come again soon and recommend this establishment to our friends and family. Thank You all”

“I visited Harry’s Old Place in Winter Haven tonight for the very first time. It is a very cute and welcoming place. I was greeted and seated right away. My waitress, Taylor was so friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a filet and asked it to be topped with crab. When it came out it was not as expected, undercooked- I asked for medium rare but it was very rare and the topping was cold. I hesitated to say anything but Taylor noticed and immediately asked what she could do to make it right. She ended up recommending mahi with a garlic sauce topping which was delicious! The GM Cody came over and was just as kind. I will for sure be back and appreciate them for not making me feel bad (or worse) for returning the first dish. Thank you Taylor for being awesome!”

Watching the workers here, it felt sorta strange: they appeared all happy and smiling. Don't they know they are at work? Food offerings are above what a usual neighborhood bar would serve. Nutwood in Lakeland just keeps delivering flavor punches straight to the taste buds like a cheerful boxer who really likes you. The Spanish octopus? Holy tentacle takeover. Tender, perfectly charred, I wanted to propose marriage to it right there at the table. It’s the kind of dish that makes you whisper “I’m not worthy” between bites while your dinner companion side-eye you. 11/10, would let it ruin all other octopus for me. And then… oh sweet green heaven… the Green Eggs and Ham. I’d never thought I’d say this in a grown-up restaurant, but Dr. Seuss himself would’ve dropped his hat and applauded: I would eat them here or there, I would eat them anywhere! I would eat them in a boat, I would eat them with a goat! I would eat them in Winterhaven town, Especially when Nutwood lays that green sauce DOWN! Say! I will eat them with a spoon, I will eat them morning, night, and noon! I do so like green eggs and ham! Thank you, thank you, Nutwood, ma’am! It’s not just clever plating — it’s a flavor bomb disguised as whimsy. Bright, herbaceous, pesto, rich, and somehow still light enough that you don’t hate yourself afterward. Pure culinary sorcery. Nutwood continues to be the cheeky, flavorful gem of Winterhaven. Bold plates, zero pretension, and enough personality to make you laugh out loud mid-bite. If you haven’t been, fix that immediately. If you have… see you there next week (I’ll be the one pretending it’s my first time again).”

“Best Place in Winter Haven for Authentic Mexican Tacos. They give you good portions and the workers are always very friendly and have amazing customer service. Their green sauce is one of the best around. I love their Gorditas stuffed with your choice of either chicken, marinated pork or steak or you can get mix and match and get all 3! Tacos are like 2$ each. Gorditas 3 for 12$. They do take call in orders and are pretty quick with them too.”

“Pumpkin ice coffee was absolutely amazing! This season nothing pumpkin has really hit the spot this absolutely made up for everything. Everything my family had was amazing, the melt sauce was awesome, husband hasn’t stopped talking about it. Club sandwich was super filling! “Have they there for many many years? Don't think I've had anything there that I didn't like. I'm very partial to their chicken wings. French fries are awesome. The coleslaw is a really good. A little tarter than I like. I like it! Sweet coleslaw but I never not eat it. It is still good. French fries are on point seasoning crispy not over crispy and not mushy. Highly recommend a trip there.”

“Everywhere you see it’s dirty tables and not being cleaned as the people leave. The staff is exhausted just like any other parent you see in this hotel. Kitchen staff not as effective as they should be because one salad to make can’t be 45 min. Most likely they were short staffed or not prepped a busy week day. Salmon on salad was a little overcook but tasted good. Still a great restaurant and great service knowing that we have to deal with madness every single day…”

“If anyone is looking for some good food at a good price check out China Garden. The business is currently going through a tough time and they would like to have more business come through. I’m not sure why the food was absolutely delicious when I arrived it was hot and fresh. The krab Rangoons were tasty and crispy. I ordered two lunch specials which have different sides to pick from and some orange chicken. Honestly best Chinese food I’ve had in the area. Please stop by and show some support they truly are great!!!”

“We came for the wings. We were told they were better than Glory Days WH. I'll be honest they were definitely hot and fresh, and meaty! The competition is real! I am a fan of the boom boom honey garlic sauce. I wish you had a sweet Thai chili sauce as an option. The tots were undercooked and fell apart, needed to be cooked a little longer.”

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.”

Garlic Mashed potatoes and tasty Broccoli and cheeses . Started the buffet with a delicious tossed salad with all the fixing . Washed it down with sweet tea and lemonade. The bar has top shelf drinks that keep you going back for more . Service was impeccable. If you ever need a place to have a function Flightline Cafe should be one of your top choices as kudos to the owners”

“This Popeye's is set in kind of a wierd area, but that doesn't change the food. Popeye's has always been tastier for the price, and the standard was the same here. Their biscuits are perfectly salty for my tastes and buttery too. The breading is well-seasoned and gives a nice crunch. We had a little trouble communicating through the drive thru speaker, but the person who served us was professional. 9/10”

What the manager did this evening topped every experience I have ever had since ever going to sonny's for several decades now. I was having to place an order online to be picked up as we were not able to dine in, had a couple of issues with the app so figured I would just walk in and order. Saw both gm's and wanted to let them know the issues I was seeing with the app, issue was also happening when trying to order the same thing from a pc as well on their website. He immediately called corporate but being after hours I think he was only able to leave a voicemail. After listening to me he takes me over to the takeout counter and tells the cashier my order is on him for having a bad experience. I couldn't believe it as it was so generous of him. The food was superb and we will definitely be back as you don't find customer service like that everywhere you go anymore. They have showed they are not only serious about their bbq but also their commitment to outstanding customer service. Thank you for the great experience.”
