Harry's Old Place Reviews
I visited Harry’s Old Place in Winter Haven tonight for the very first time. It is a very cute and welcoming place. I was greeted and seated right away. My waitress, Taylor was so friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a filet and asked it to be topped with crab. When it came out it was not as expected, undercooked- I asked for medium rare but it was very rare and the topping was cold. I hesitated to say anything but Taylor noticed and immediately asked what she could do to make...read full review
Did not expect a place like this in central Florida, but this place was one of the best! Awesome fresh seafood and the wait staff had THE best recommendations! The perfect find! Most definitely will return!
Central Florida needs great seafood, great service & a place where anyone feels welcome. Harry's Old Place is exactly that place. The freshest fish & shellfish, steak and cuisine done beautifully and served fast, with a smile. They have a stocked bar with great drinks served quickly and right. Harry's makes me want to dine out daily. I'd like to say a huge "thank you" to them for making me proud to be part of their patronage. Harry's for life!!! 💯!

Harry's Old Place offers a variety of seafood and steak dishes. The twin tails and filet are recommended, with generous portions that can even be taken home. The brownie sundae is a warm and delightful dessert option. The daily specials board provides diverse choices, and the intimate atmosphere adds to the dining experience. The food was delicious and service fabulous. The broiled cod with garlic butter sauce, new potatoes and salad, came with hush puppies which were delicious too. The gator sausage with pimento cheese was outrageous, and the escargot was out of this world. The onion loaf is a must try. The blackened lane snapper was prepared perfectly. The grits are a winner too. The key lime pie and peanut butter pie are dreamy, and the key lime pie is probably the best ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive, often going the extra mile with southern hospitality, greeting guests in such a warm manner. The view enhances the overall experience, with a beautiful and gorgeous view of the lake, making it a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions. The restaurant is currently closed due to a recent fire but is worth visiting once reopened.
