We had already been to this restaurant when they were in the old location. I took my dad because he was on vacation from Puerto Rico, and the experience wasn't great this time. We all ordered together; the first thing they told us was that there was no kids' pizza. Then the adults' meal arrived before the kids'. When they brought the adults' meal, they notified us that there were no fries for the kids and substituted white rice and beans for us. None of the four kids ate their food (just the nuggets and tenders). The rice had a weird flavor, and the fried meat in the mofongos was tasteless and overcooked. The prices were too expensive to end up eating rice and beans, something I can make at home. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't think I'll go back.

Great service, good quality food and prices are good for what you get. Really a nice place to eat and enjoy.

El Pilón Loko is, without a doubt, the best place to enjoy authentic Puerto Rican food in Lake Wales, Florida. Their mofongo is simply spectacular, with the perfect balance of garlic, chicharrón, and soft but firm texture, making it the best in the US. Plus, the atmosphere is cozy, with vibrant music and exceptional service that makes you feel at home. Each dish is full of flavor and tradition, from the tostones to the fried meat, all prepared with an unmatched seasoning. This was our first experience and I can say that the atmosphere is very familiar and welcoming. Cataño Puerto Rican Family Business 🇵🇷. The taste of the food is very good. Today we ate some mini alcapurrias, fried cheese with guava, tostones stuffed with octopus and a ribeye 🥩 with tostones. And the Parcha mojito couldn't be missing 🍹. I want to highlight the service of the waiter (Angel) and other employees 🫶🏼. Very reasonable prices. It felt like home, we hope to return soon.
