We went yesterday to celebrate our sons birthday and we could not be happier that we chose La Garita. First the place is spotless which is very important to me. The food and service was outstanding. Authentic Puertorican food at a reasonable price. We can't wait to go back.

We were in the mood for mofongo, so we decided to stop in. After viewing the menu, we decided to get one mofongo and one trifongo and share. We also ordered an empanada, and it was delicious. Both of our dishes were moist and packed with flavor. They have a full bar and a great ambiance. Our server was polite and friendly.

Too bad I can't give 0 star in service. We drove from Ocala and wanted to try their food but unfortunately we couldn't, they sit us quick but spend 7 mins waiting to be asked at least for glass a water that we never hot or been asked..well hopefully not like that all the time. that's what stop people for coming back even if the food is good..
