As soon as you walk in it smells like moth balls. We order the Agua de pina( horrible it artificial powder pina) Mexican coke was flat. The queso and chips had a funny taste. I order the Flautas they was extremely hard like if they are old and stale , the use sour cream instead f Mexican creama mozzarella cheese, instead of queso fresco. My husband steak torta was ok but the cheese wasn’t the right one. This is not real Mexican food more of Tex-Mex . They gave us the food first and we had to wait for our drinks which we had to yell for them to come to the front since my husband was choking and they are in the back. We will not be coming again. Also I think they change owners because it not the same when we came about a year ago. $30 went to waste and left hungry !!

This place is as simple and basic as you can get. The menu is on the wall. You pick up your own food at the counter and you sit down. But that makes no difference whatsoever. BECAUSE THE FOOD HERE IS OUTSTANDING! This is somewhere that you go when you love authentic food. Food that is made from scratch… food that is fresh and delicious. And for what you get, it is extraordinarily affordable. This is not where you go on date night, unless your date loves authentic Mexican food. This is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Winter Haven, and it is always a treat to go there. My only regret is that I don’t have a bigger stomach, because it is all outstanding and I want to try everything!

La Siesta provided catering for my grad party! They were very clear with communication, reasonable, kind and their food is DELICIOUS! I would definitely hire them again. I loved their food the moment I tried it 2 years ago! I highly recommend their food and if you need catering you can’t go wrong choosing them. They were so helpful and saw that I needed a hand setting everything up and didn’t hesitate to step in help and even serve the food at the last moment because I was a bit unprepared. Thank you again!!!!! Yall were and are the BEST!

My husband and I just left and OMG what an experience. First of all, the place is so small and quaint. The menu is limited but everything we ordered was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff is amazing and so generous. A USPS worker stopped in to drop off mail and they offered him water and I can't tell you how lovely, considerate and kind that was of them because they didn't need to do that at all 🥹. I definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back any time we are craving yummy, authentic Mexican cuisine!

Very casual, chill place to eat fresh Mexican food. I've tried burritos, tacos, the taco salad and chimichangas so far and everything tasted 5 stars and fresh. The staff is always nice and the prices are very affordable.

Straight-up worst tacos ever! I should've known something was off when I saw ramen noodles on the menu. I specifically asked if the Al Pastor had pineapple or a pineapple flavor, and when I heard it didn't, that was another red flag. Still, I decided to give it a shot since I was craving street tacos.
The horchata tasted like it was made from a store-bought powder mix, which was a letdown. The only positive here was the price.
I like it but they don't tell you they charge you extra to use a debit card, the order is one price but then you're charged an additional $2-$3. It's a different amount each time you're charged it seems.
