This place was a terrific little gem snuggled in Winter Haven. Amazing, good quality food. A little more pricey, but the amount you get on your plate, the quality, the flavors, makes it totally worth it! I love a bit further away but I know any time I'm in the area, this will be my stop for lunch!
Kid-friendliness: I didn't see anything for a kid menu but I didn't ask either. If no kid menu, okay for kids if they are adventurous!

I have eaten at Nutwood several times and been completely satisfied with everything offered. Meal with wine was extremely delicious as always! Service was friendly as well as professional. It’s a small setting that offers a wonderful dining experience.

I've seen this adorable restaurant many times while driving downtown and finally made a brunch reservation for myself and my mom. When we arrived, we were seated right away. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle and my mother the Brioche Benedict. We were served our meals after a lengthy 55min wait. After about 35min into our wait, we were told that they had a 9-top come in and caused a bit of a delay. The server was kind and apologetic and we said ok. When our food came out, it looked...not like what I'd seen in photos on their website or other customer photos online, but most of the online reviews were good so we continued to try our meals. For the Chicken and Waffles: The menu did not state that the fried chicken would be dark, skin on thigh meat. I've ordered this dish at several other places before and it's always been white breast meat, and because the menu didn't say dark meat, I incorrectly assumed it would be white meat. Unfortunately I greatly dislike dark meat and just took a few bites around the edge of the chicken that was lighter meat, but it was primarily inedible. The waffle, however, tasted pretty good. For the Brioche Benedict: This was unlike anything I'd ever seen. The Brioche bread tasted like it had been deep fried and was very oily. The Hollandaise sauce was a strange deep orange color, and at first my mother and I thought it was some sort of cheese sauce. Upon tasting it, it didn't taste like either Hollandaise or cheese sauce. This would have been ok it it had still had good flavor, but it didn't. The country potatoes that came with it were very large, unseasoned(not even salt), and dried out pieces of potato. When the server dropped our meals off at the table, she mentioned free dessert to take home due to our long wait. When she came back to check on us after delivering the food we indicated we were done. Both of our plates were still nearly full but at no point did she ask if our meals were ok before removing them. She took our plates and returned with the check. She was sure to mention that, as a courtesy for our long wait, she took the iced tea and coffee off of the check instead of complimentary desserts because we'd indicated we were done and ready to leave. I guess dessert to-go wasn't an option. We were never rude, and we never complained about the food. I like to try new places and the ones I like, I return to, and the ones I don't like I simply don't go back. This is a place I would not return to or recommend. The restaurant itself, though, is very adorable.

I was amazed to see simple yet elegantly decorated restaurant in Winter Haven. The Raviolo we ordered was delicately flavored and we both enjoyed a lot. Unfortunately, the steak and market fish we ordered were a bit unpleasantly oversalted, especially the fish. Regretfully yet I have to say I expected a bit higher quality for the price I paid and the fame of the chef.

Just Perfect! Recently visited Nutwood twice on a family trip to Legoland. We struggled to find quality food whenever we travel and finding this place was perfect. The place is beautiful a true hidden gem, food was amazing and tasty, plus the service was A+. If you have the opportunity don’t miss out and paid nutwood a visit you will not regret it.

Amazing! The Chef and his team are top notch. Our hostess was so impressive, she was super friendly, and attentive to our every need. She gave us a truly personalized experience. Our Brunch today was fabulous. Everything was fresh and creative. Out of this world flavors combined to make your mouth smile! Truly impressive! We highly recommend Nutwood for an experience that will not disappoint.

After waiting 49 minutes for our meal it was one of the absolute worst meals I’ve had. Ordering Brioche Benedict Hollandaise I anticipated a great meal. My potatoes were old and dried out. The Brioche was Deep FRIED totally greasy/old. The Hollandaise sauce was cheesy with a bitterness to it. I tried two bites and gave up. When waitress came to pick up plates at no time did she ask if the meal was satisfactory, just took it away. When she returned with our check she stated she was not charging for out ice teas because she realized we had an unusual long wait. Do not waste your time or money. We do Brunch every Sunday someplace downtown WH, this was the WORST

Nutwood made our group feel at home. Beth was amazing. We were a table full of private chefs. We loved everything. I can't wait to come back and see what is next on this chef-driven sctratch menu! I highly recommend Nutwood :)

Very cute exterior and patio space. There is plenty of parking on the street plus a little lot is available. The food was prepared perfectly and the ingredients mostly aligned with what was on the menu, but not entirely (heirloom tomatoes were suspiciously consistent in shape, size and flavor for example). The service was a great balance of attentive, but not intrusive. The interior ambience was really my only disappointment. The decor was exceptionally sparse, the kitchen and bussing of tables was loud enough at times to stop conversation, and I killed several mosquitoes and two flies. I couldn't catch another that kept buzzing between our table and the kitchen. We'll definitely be back because the food and service were good enough to hope the ambiance improves.
My nephew lives in Florida and he recommended Nutwood. We had a party of 6 and the food was delicious.
