Everything about Old Man Franks was amazing. Service was top tier. Food was absolutely amazing and the view was spot on.

The atmosphere is great.. seems like true winter haven.. the drinks and food what one would expect.. the service was not up to par. took some friends from out of the area . they have heard about old man franks but after the service we received i’m sure they will not be returning. just a word to the employees. if you dislike your job please find a different one .

We stopped for a late lunch after kayaking on a Sunday afternoon. Walked in, got a table 4:10pm. Got our drinks pretty promptly. Had to be somewhere at 5:15. Ordered our food and waited. And waited. And waited. Our server came by multiple times to check/refill drinks. She kept telling us it was the kitchen. They were backed up. She was very nice. By 5:15 we still hadn't received our food, we believe the order was never put in. We asked her to just cancel our order if our food was not started. She came back and told us our order had been canceled. Got our check to pay for our drinks. In our opinion, our 2 drinks and a pop should have been comped, but we had to pay for them totally wasting our time. We left about 5:45 very hungry and dissatisfied.
On top of it all, the place was very dirty. Cobwebs on ceiling, and ripped down Christmas tinsel just stuck on the mails.

It took me a while to be acknowledged, but then things were fine. They definitely take care of regulars first. The lake view is fantastic and Mahi sandwich was good.

Waited 30 min to get waitress then after we ordered it took at least 45 min to get 1 out of 4 people ‘s food. Took another 15 min to get the other 3 food only partially. Took another 15 min just to pay. Hamburgers weren’t even cooked- very grizzled meat. Will never come back!

Stopped in to have oysters and drinks at what looked like a cool spot. We have a service dog so was immediately told we couldn’t go on the main deck but had to go to the “poopdeck”. So we did but had no service out there. We left and went across the street to Caribbean Bay Bar. Dog welcomed, service great, music fantastic! Also was told by Tanners that our dog was welcomed in restaurant and deck. How does their insurance allow but not Old Man Franks? I understand your policy but don’t treat customers like they are second rate citizens because they have a service dog,
It does look like a fun place if you do not have a dog.
Also there is a pic of a man with a dog on their website which led me to believe they were dog friendly!

Recently moved to Winter Haven and wanted to check this place out. True to it's reviews, this place has a simple bar food menu plus oysters, liquor, beer, wine and live music. It's a waterfront restaurant so we took a pic right before sunset. It's a great little place to chillax, have a couple bites, enjoy live music and play pool.

This was my first time there. It was my niece's birthday and this is were she wanted to go. My sister came along also to celebrate with her daughter. She & I had the peel & eat shrimp. I was pleasantly surprised to see how big the shrimp were! The fries were delicious. I don't know what they season them with, but they were awesome! There was live music the day we went. It was a little breezy on the outside seating on the water. I really enjoyed myself. I don't usually eat out much, but I can honestly say, Old Man Franks will be placed on my eat out list.

We came here after a wedding and the male bartender with a man bun was flirting with and serving clearly underaged girls who were ridiculously drunk while ignoring my party the entire time on 2/21. Would not recommend this bar and would definitely recommend someone coming in to inspect and make sure they’re actually checking IDs at this establishment.

This is a great place for what it is. We had low expectations but liked idea of relaxing with a bear on the lake. I is a dive, with the charming atmosphere of a dive bar with bar food. The beer is ultra cold, the cheeseburgers were decent, the cole slaw and potato salad was delicious and the service was good. We are here on a Tuesday at 1:30, not crowded, sat on the open deck. It was a gorgeous day with several boaters on the lake. Had an enjoyable time. If you want gourmet food this isnt it.
