I have given this restaurant multiple tries. But this review is in particular to the order I ordered tonight. I put in for a pick up order with multiple items but the main thing was 1lb of pulled pork. You would think when the restaurant receives an order and the order contains something they are currently out of (pulled pork the main thing they are supposed to serve and are “known” for ) they would call the customer and let them know. Nope they waited until I got there to let me know they were out of it. If I could give service a 0 stars I would. Will not be giving this “restaurant “ anymore service

I was not impressed. Ordering was awkward as a first timer. I ordered a smoked Turkey sandwich it was thin sliced with a rhine of some sort. Was dry, not flavorful i threw over half away. My husband had brisket chopped, he said it was good and green beans were good. We will not return.

This was our first time. We came for the weekend to visit Bok Tower and were in the mood for good BBQ. I googled best BBQ near me and this was the 3rd in line but when I read the reviews I just knew this was the place. I can tell you, service was very friendly atmosphere was relaxing, but the food....oh my gosh!! Amazing! We order half rack of ribs, 6 chicken wings that were absolutley delish, no need for sauces. Also ordered briscket wow! What flavor! So tender and juicy. Ocra was delish as well as the green beans. Highley recommend this place

Food is good, but we have drove twice over 1 hour to eat there and they have been out of everything back to back trips. Tonight no ribs, no chicken, no brisket and more. Long line behind us on a Saturday night and no food... it was 640pm and well before closing at dinner time
First time going here on 02/24/24. The staff is really friendly and makes sure to check up on you while eating. I love that with the brisket they give you the option of either getting lean or fatty. I got the lean. I also got the fried pickles and they were really good. It’s nice too that they have 4 different BBQ sauces at every table to choose from. I tried the Original and the Sweet one. Both are pretty good but I would definitely recommend the Sweet one.

We have wanted to stop in before and finally made it in! Sad to say we have spent the past year driving to Plant City for decent bbq and this whole time Smokin Ox has been right here. We ordered all the things pork, ribs, and brisket. For sides we ordered okra, turnips, and Mac and cheese. You can tell a lot about a bbq place by their sides. Yes they are homemade and very good. The bbq was fantastic and lots of sauces to choose from. It’s an order at the register and they bring it to you cafe style. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quick.Good flavors and the meat has definitely been smoked as advertised. We will be repeat bbq fans. Honestly, don’t bother with the other places. This is the one.Vegetarian options: Lots of sides

Too much loud talking. Cost too much for what you get. Having to buy coleslaw by the pound is not my thing. Had to share.and ask for plastic ware to share coleslaw and a extra plate to devide. You think I insulted her. 2 sandwiches.small container of coleslaw and 2 ice teas. $26.00. I could eat and Sonny's cheaper.. Didn't like standing in line to order.
