This was our first time at Cafe de France. We were disappointed. It was expensive, the portions were small, and the food was fair, at best. The service was basically non-existent. Finally, we have a home in Annecy, France; and this was not very typical of the restaurants we frequent there.

Had a wonderful lunch there a few days ago. I have always enjoyed French food so I thought I would try this place in Winter Park, and I am glad I did. I ordered the roasted canard duck. Delicious! It is cooked with a very tasty orange, honey with seasoning glaze and a vegetable pie type of side. My only criticism is that the portions are a bit small but I was led to believe that the dinner portions are larger. I hope so because it can be a bit pricey. Anyway, I finished the meal with a serving of creme brulee. Yummy! And the staff was excellent. Very helpful, courteous, caring, and professional. I recommend Cafe de France, and I must return soon for a dinner. Give them a try...you won't be disappointed!

French cuisine at it's very best. The portion sizes allow you to have a three course meal without feeling stuffed. The subtle blend of flavours was exquisite. The service was courteous, prompt and unobtrusive. This is a place to in which to take your time - no wonder it has been here for four decades.

We had a great meal and service. My wife had the escargot which was the best she had ever had and I had the French onion soup again spectacular. The lamb was cooked perfectly and served with some really tasty sides. This will now be our go to restaurant in Winter Park .

Outstanding service. Escargot was great. Rack of lamb served as recommended medium rare. Special that evening was sea scallops served with 3 large scallops on a mushroom risotto. Fish was black bass. Dessert was creme brulee. Only disappointment was they have just beer and wine.

Cannot believe they have been in business for over 30 years and we have never gone. The food was really good, service impeccable, and value outstanding - definitely on our go to list

I love Cafe de France for special occasions and a quiet night out for date night. We have been going there for 35 years. I highly recommend.

Excellent meal. I had the Beet Salad and excellent French Onion Soup. My wife had the Butternut Soup special. We both had the Beef Bourgonion. All was excellent. Unfortunately, we each had a large Cappuccino about an hour before dinner, so we couldn't fit in the delicious desserts on the menu. We plan to visit again soon.

Escargot, French Onion Soup, Veal chops (it was a chef special - not always on the menu) and Creme Brule. All were excellent as always at this place. We come here whenever we really want it to be special and intimate.

Disappointing to say the least. What can I say other than why would a restaurant with linen tablecloths not provide bread plates when they bring bread.. when I mentioned it to the owner or manager he apologized but said it's their policy to bring plates ... but then as I looked to the table of 4 next to us that just received their bread .. no plates .. they too had placed bread on the table to butter it .. that is just the beginning of what was a total disappointment. Food was mediocre at best and unfortunately people that want something different and are willing to pay for good French food and good service just don't have an option.
