This restaurant is phenomenal! My family enjoyed a late lunch here for the first time on Christmas Eve. Everything was exceptional from the food, to the service, to the all around vibes. We were blown away by the flavors and freshness. Chef’s kiss 🤌! I should point out I have allergies that are challenging. They were incredibly accommodating. 💗 Highly recommend! We’ll be back soon!

I have been a loyal, long-time customer of this restaurant and have dined here countless times with my Doberman—always welcomed, always seated, never an issue. Today, that loyalty meant absolutely nothing.
The female owner, who is rarely ever present, didn’t greet me, didn’t ask a question, and didn’t offer an explanation. She simply looked at me and said, “No. If you have the Doberman, you can’t dine here.” The delivery was cold, rude, and incredibly disrespectful.
What makes this situation embarrassing for the restaurant is that her husband—the owner who actually works there regularly—has ALWAYS allowed me to dine here with my dog and has been nothing but kind and professional. His treatment of customers is the sole reason I’ve supported this place, recommended it to countless people, and brought my entire family here today.
Being publicly turned away by someone who clearly doesn’t know her own restaurant’s regulars, policies, or customer base is unacceptable. If the rules change based on which owner happens to show up, that’s not a policy—that’s poor management.
I was embarrassed, disrespected, and extremely disappointed. It’s a shame to see a restaurant’s reputation damaged so quickly by arrogance and inconsistency. Loyal customers deserve better than this.
Update: owners say the policies are applied consistently to everyone and this is 100% untrue! Not to mention the female owner spoke to me with so much attitude and disrespect despite my inital efforts to be nice and explain I had eaten here MANY times before WITH my friendly well mannered dog. Places like this discriminate against breeds and treat their long time clients like garbage. Eat somewhere else on the ave.

Great service. Really good selection of fresh and authentic Italian food. Nice homely atmosphere, with an affluent neighborhood vibe. It was our first time and we felt like we were amongst the locals that eat there often. Great location, easy to park. Only 20 min drive for us so we will be back.

We’ve eaten at Rome’s twice now and loved it both times. For us, it’s a cozy spot where we can enjoy a relaxed family meal and feel genuinely welcomed. We’re always greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and has an authentic Italian flavor you don’t always find. It’s quickly becoming one of our favorite places in Winter Park.

We tried to eat at this restaurant today. I asked for a table outside because I told the host we had two dogs. When she was about to seat us, she said they have a new policy and cannot accommodate two dogs — even after I explained that it was just my husband and me dining there. One of our dogs is an ESA, and we were denied service.
