The Shrimp & Company is a quaint seafood restaurant on the corner of 7th Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. If you have walked past it headed for the restaurant across the street then you have missed the best seafood you could eat in Tampa. You have to try their Florida or Louisiana Steam Pot, any of the seafood baskets and their shrimp stuffed mondongo. The food and terrific service is worth another trip to the small family owned restaurant.

Mashed plantain with heavy garlic... (enjoyed) stuffed with Caribbean mojo style shrimp.
Also had fried calamari. $40 total (a little high but) I Recommend this.

There was only one couple in the restaurant and we were a little scared but we went anyway… oh my goodness! It was fabulous!! You must have the onion rings as an appetizer! The food was hot and delicious. First time I’ve had fried Mahi… and it did not disappoint. And the tea was the best ever ! What a great surprise we got!!

We had lunch here. 😬 Food: had no flavor, all we tasted was grease/oil. 😭 Service: great service, very attentive Parking: no free parking, we parked on street all is "pay to park" was $6 cheaper than parking in lot.

What an amazing experience. We accidentally stumbled upon this place because Columbias wait was too long, and boy am I glad!! Our waitress was so kind. She sanitized our babies high chair before giving it to us and even tightened everything to make sure it was secure for him. The food was phenomenal!! Best Alfredo I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Hush puppies were delish. Just a top tier experience all around. 10/10

Came here for my 33rd birthday to enjoy a new spot I have never been to and this place was amazing. Their fried green tomatoes were so fresh & fried to perfection n seasoned perfect. I ordered a platter of Grouper & fried Clam strips and the clam strips were so airy and crunchy n flavorful I have NEVER had such great clam strips, the grouper was spot on also. Even the side of potatoes was SO FLAVORFUL! My girlfriend got grouper and shrimp and she loved all of her food too. I was given a complimentary desert of my choice for my birthday & the whole place was manned by 1 woman who took all the orders, did all the cooking and she was SO NICE! If you are ever wondering if you should go here to eat DEFINITELY go! It’s AMAZING and the staff is super friendly! I will be back for sure! Next time I’ll do the crab feast!
