Wow! Finally real BBQ in Zephyrhills! Not only is the food really really really good, but they give very generous portions! I got a meal for 4 and it easily could have fed six adults. That meal by the way consisted of pulled pork, brisket, rolls, spare ribs, chicken, sausage, side of fresh green beans, and a side of really good BBQ baked beans. I cannot stress enough... If you want Real BBQ, don't go to the big name places and waste your money... Go to tubbys! You'll be glad you did it! Oh, and the service is spectacular!

One of the best bbq joints I’ve stepped in. Everything from the beans to the pork to the rice to the potatoe salad everything was jam up and spot on. Will be returning highly recommend this place and the gentleman is a stand up guy. Full of smiles you gotta stop in here

First time here. We walked in just after a big rush and the place was almost empty, but moments before had been full! Tubby himself was here and was SO NICE! The bbq ribs and chicken were smoky and tender, delicious even without the sauces. Beans and slaw on point, fresh and crispy. Support local business and don’t miss this gem 💎

The restaurant was spotless and so were the bathrooms. The food was excellent and was very fresh with good portions. Homemade! Tubby himself was our waiter:) Great story of how the restaurant was founded. Tubby is a veteran as well. Oh, and the music selection that night was 70’s era Motown!

I really enjoyed this spot. The meats are smoked right there and all the sides are home cooked.
They offer 2 sauces. I had chicken and my dad had ribs. Both were perfectly cooked. Tubby was our server and chef. Nice guy.
Atmosphere is darker inside. I think that’s why they get a later crowd. I came during lunch and it had no one else there. If you’re looking for a spot that’s not over crowded at lunch I’d give them a try.
The price point is pretty decent for the portions at lunch. If you haven’t tried this or you haven’t tried it in a while, I’d give it a try.

Tubbys was delicious. Don’t knock it from The outside. The sauce is so homemade and BOMB, and the beans were to die for. (The Mac n cheese was just that, but still worth it and so affordable for one or a family!! It’s an original restaurant and so stinking clean in there you could eat off the floor. I’m 90 percent sure tubby served us himself!
I don’t love cold sides like potato salad or Cole slaw, but they probably slap!)
We had dinner at Tubby’s this evening. The smoked ribs were amazing and we met the owner who is such a nice gentleman. If you get a chance please try their wonderful food.

We just visited Tubby's for the first time, and loved it! I had a combo plate with ribs and pulled pork barbecue. the ribs portion is generous, and cooked to perfection with a very savory rub! The barbecue 2 excellent as well. it is served without sauce, and you can add either regular sauce or a hotter sauce at the table. The mac and cheese was hot and cheesy, and yummy. I also had cole slaw. They are only open W-Th-F-S, so gives Tubby's a try and support a locally owned restaurant!
