My husband and I dined at 1885 Grill to celebrate my birthday, and while the experience was nice, it didn’t quite exceed expectations. The staff was friendly and quick to get our food out, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our meal.
To start, we shared a Caesar salad and a bowl of lobster bisque. Both were delicious! The bisque, rich and creamy with a great lobster flavor, was a highlight for sure. The Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing and a nice crunch—simple, but satisfying.
For my main course, I had the lobster ravioli, which was tasty and had a great lobster filling. However, I did find myself wondering if the sauce for the ravioli was the same as the lobster bisque. While it was good, the flavors seemed a bit too similar, which made me hesitate a bit. That said, it was still enjoyable overall.
My husband ordered the shrimp and crawfish etouffee, and while he said it didn't quite live up to his expectations, he still enjoyed the dish. The flavors were good, but he felt it could have been a little more flavorful or spicy. It’s always a tough call when you have high hopes for a dish, but it was still a decent meal.
To finish, we shared a slice of cheesecake, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. It was rich and creamy, a classic choice for dessert, and it hit the spot.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience at 1885 Grill. While not every dish was a standout, the food was still solid, the service was excellent, and it was a great place to celebrate my birthday.
I had been craving a blue cheese, buttered filet mignon, So naturally, I came to the right place ! Except this $40 steak Wasn’t as great as I remembered. First thing I noticed was it must have rested too long because it wasn’t very warm. About 3 oz. Into my filet I relized they must have put the horseradish butter on top that came with the other ribeye.. I let the flavors sit in my mouth for a second as I thought about it, And our server had already taken so long to take our order drinks and entree that I just sat and took it as a loss. Sad way to spend $100 on a Saturday night. Also, the tables are so uncomfortably close together along sides of the walls, Thank God, I didn’t have to sneeze or else I would’ve Sprinkled Germs on my neighbor’s bread pudding. Do better please. :(

Awesome place. We picked this last minute due to being in the area for our daughter's volleyball tournament. Glad we did. Food was fantastic. Server was very friendly and attentive. We even met with the owner. Great guy, even had their pecan pie bread pudding dessert which I would honestly have never ordered but he said it was the best thing on their menu. 100% agreed! Thanks again.
Corn fritters are a favorite since having those for the first time last week. I will say their steak is really good. Properly cooked. The flavors were amazing. Good chef! I'm definitely coming back more often!

Food was hands down the best! Service was absolutely terrible! We did NOT get refills we asked for 1 and only 1 got brought out. Even though we were all sitting there with empty glasses! I give a $28 tip he litteraly shakes his head as he’s checking us out! Brings me my to go order and let’s go of it before I can grab it! I tell him thank you he says “welcome” in the lowest tone! I love to tip if I get good service! But it was terrible I’ll post my receipt
