Atami Steak & Sushi

The food was tasty, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and lively.

We will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Called to ask what happened with our two drinks that we were charged $4.85 each for to be told the Uber driver forgot them. Uber said that is not a “refundable item” and only gave a $2 credit to the next order. I called the store and the restaurant acknowledged the Uber driver forgot the drinks, but said she doesn’t have time to figure how to credit us back. I was robbed of $10.00 tonight and the restaurant hung up on me instead of offering to help with another way to refund us. We will not be back.

They were great to receive us so late on a Sunday. The service was awesome and the server/host was very polite. The chef was entertaining.
The food was a bit salty (even for salt lovers), but the textures and amounts were good.

Edited from 7 years ago: used to be 5 stars. Noe it's inconsistent quality, and absurd prices for the tiny portions you get. Not worth going anymore.

Get sushi and hibachi pickup here at least twice a week. Great food, amazing lunch prices and portions. A+

I wish more people knew that Atami has been under new management for a few years. The owner Sophie is so sweet! Alex cooked for us and did an amazing job!! It's a family own business and the best part is we don't have to drive into crazy hiram to get hibachi! Instead, we just drive down the street from cedarmill and we are there in 5 minutes!! Just discovered this hidden gem about a month ago near my area. I am a huge sushi head. My go to is the Crazy Rolls and let’s just say they GOOOO CRAZYYYYYY!! This place is too good to always be empty. As I mentioned, I just discovered this place about a month ago and unashamedly I can say I’ve been here about 7 times since my discovery. If you reading this post and are in the mood for some authentic sushi, egg rolls, hibachi, etc., RUN TO ATAMI! Management is also very welcoming and pleasant!

My family and I have been coming here for a little over a year now and love the food and atmosphere. My toddler had been eyeing one of those fancy child chopsticks, but I've always been like "no sweetie not today" as a common line said by so many parents. The owner stepped up and let her take a pair home for free. Honestly this small kind gesture of chopsticks has opened my daughter up to new cultures and cuisines. Such a small gift has had such a profound effect on my little one. Can't recommend this place enough.

We visited for the first time since moving here. Very pleasantly surprised with how great the food and service was! I am always hesitant about hibachi because of a serious shellfish allergy but my food was prepared before the shellfish was prepared so there was absolutely no cross contamination. Also, the chef cleaned his utensils very well before preparing the vegetables so there were no issues. I ordered the steak and it was so delicious and tender. Vegetables were perfect. My husband and I both agree we will be back!
