Have lived in Acworth for a year and have caught Dogwood Terrace open a few times for a very good breakfast. BUT, there has rarely been another customer inside, so I'm wondering why and whether it has a negative reputation for some reason. Also, driving by I never see any guests in the parking area. Today, a Wednesday, it was supposed to be open for breakfast, but were not. There is nothing to explain this on their website or FB page.

Terrible. One word says it all.Went for Sunday brunch. We were seated quickly. Then.... nothing. We were there for 12 minutes. Not many tables diners. Two servers. One was across the room. The server close to us was working behind the bar. Then he went to the table right next to us a couple times but he absolutely ignored us. Then, after not even being asked about beverage, he walked up and asked what he could get for us. He said his name was "Nick". I asked him, "Why did it take you 12 minutes to talk to us?" He said no one told him we were his table. I said, "Really?" After all, we were in plain sight... five feet front the table he was serving. He said, "Well, you can leave." So in other words... Tough if you don't like it. I said, "Let me talk to the manager." His response, "Ok, I will get my mom." Another response saying... what you think does not matter. You are not important.We left.My take. This restaurant does not care about their patrons. This attitude comes from the top given "Nick's" mom is obviously setting the tone for little Nick. If you go here expect to be treated badly. The attitude comes right from the top.

Service was okay. Irritating that it has a set menu on New Years Eve, and the food had no taste. Just bland, shouldn't have to add salt & pepper to a steak at the table. Ordered an old fashioned it was more water than bourbon. Won't go back, second visit similar results. Better options, don't waste your time and money.

Love downtown Acworth and had never been to Dogwood Cafe. We arrived at 10am when they opened. We were the only people there (here's your sign).... I ordered the Frittata, which was pre-made. The home fries were left over baked potatoes and heated in the mic... Wifey had the scrambled eggs and bacon--She said it was good Service was fine, but we were the only people in a restaurant from 10-10:45am. It was ok... Will return.

Welcome to the old days of cooking and with a Bloody Mary. It's the perfect answer for brunch in acworth. Quaint and nice dining room. It was a great place for breakfast.

Quaint cottage style home with a warm welcoming interior and soaring wooden beam ceilings. The staff was attentive and we were seated quickly for Sunday brunch. I ordered the peach and pecan blintzes. They were amazing. The mimosas were perfect and generous. The overall price was surprisingly modest. I have already recommended this place to friends and expect to return soon.

This is one of the few restaurants that has not seen a decrease in food quality or service during the pandemic. We have had so many bad experiences dining out since Covid, but never here! The food is good, the prices are very reasonable, the environment is really relaxing and the service is always friendly and prompt. We come here every few weeks and have never been disappointed.

This place is amazing! The ambiance is superb! Relaxing and nice. The food was delish! My daughter (picky eater) loved the stuffed french toast. Great hosts too! We were so glad we stopped by to have breakfast at this place. You must check it out!

It took about 10 minutes to even be greeted by an employee that acted like he didn’t even want to be there. Then another 20 to actually be seated. Every table was filthy and there weren’t that many families in the restaurant. Once we finally got seated there was a roach on the floor.
Great food and great service. We really enjoyed our date night here.

I'm a little late writing this review, but I wanted to be sure to say how much I enjoyed my experience! My sister and I met here for lunch one Saturday neither one of us having been there before. I had the Oriental chicken salad and it was excellent and my sister had breakfast and was happy with her food, too! I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant and we had a good waiter who took good care of us. I will definitely go back soon!
