I live 20 minutes away and visit every time I go to Red Top but sometimes make the drive anyway just for the food. I benchmark every barbecue place we eat at against Ferleys and nowhere has lived up. By far the best barbecue I've ever had.
Not the best barbecue but very good food. We came for the macaroni and cheese which was pretty good. It has good flavors- not as cheesy as I would like, but it's creamy and the choice of macaroni has a good texture, very flavorful sauce.We also ordered the chili dog special which was two beef hot dogs with chili and we added onions tasted really good for chili dog sake.The main attraction was the brisket it had a nice smoke ring but not Smokey in flavor-- although the bark...
Currently sitting down enjoying a very nice lunch. The person taking the order is super friendly. Food came out quick and delicious! I LOVE that Brunswick stew and the slaw on my sandwich. ? excellent taste and value!For the person who was being critical about the nachos.. one you don't come to a BBQ joint for nachos. ?
