I have been trying to get help with a corporate event. I reached out last year and had the same terrible experience as this year but I wanted to give you one more chance. I'm not sure how you have repeat customers at a corporate level with this type of customer service. I reached out to four other resorts and received a response almost immediately. Your team is very difficult to deal with and refuses to make a phone call to me and takes weeks to respond to emails. At this point, Barnsley is off my list and you may not even care, but I plan a lot of events for my employer so it is a loss for you.
Iโve been working there a lot this year very friendly people I considered it family and Land management member myself get everything done I love it there I wonโt keep working my way up towards retirement.
Quiet sunlit dining in a historic setting. Food was hearty, handmade and cooked to order. Lunch was served on metal trays with silverware and cloth napkins. Sturdy wooden tables with no tablecloths. On our previous visit the restaurant had tablecloths and real dinner plates. Gratuity was included in the bill. $54 for two entrรฉes- grilled cheese with bacon and sweet potato fries & grilled chicken sandwich with salad. Music was from the 40s- mostly Sinatra style. Nice setting, pricy,
I have been traveling and staying at Barnsley Gardens since it opened in 1999/2000. Literally dozens of times, to include family events, scheduled corporate retreats for my company on several occasions, visited the shooting grounds and played countless rounds of golf and dinner reservations. Barnsley has always provided first class service and the amenities are 5 star. Unfortunately, I scheduled a trip in late December 2024 and had to cancel due to sickness. Because I was not within their 14 day cancellation policy, I was charged $288 of a $399 stay. the resort was not at capacity and had rooms freely available. I called to discuss the charge and was told I would be called back. After a week with no call, I called back to speak with "Terra", the on site manager. She informed me that Barnsley was unwilling to give any kind of consideration. Most disappointing and short-sighted given my travel history with the resort. I have taken my last trip to Barnsley and am sorely disappointed in their policy and diminished culture of customer service.
Quality experience. Liked the outdoor concert after dinner.

My husband and I stayed at the Barnesley Resort for one night recently. The Woodland Grill is the only restaurant on the property. And it was the worst food weโve ever had. The service was great they were very nice and acknowledged that they screwed up but when I say this is the whitest, blandest food Iโve ever had, itโs an understatement. We are both vegetarian and the options were SO limited and SO terrible. The fried Brussels came out cold and soggy with no seasoning. The first batch of pimento beignets were literally still cold as if they had come right out of the freezer. And the summer vegetarian bolognese was literally a cold ground up impossible burger next to Luke warm unseasoned fettuccine. Frankly inedible. The prices are outrage for this pathetic excuse for food. Breakfast wasnโt much better. Their avocado spread is clearly store bought - likely from Costco. Nothing is fresh or seasoned. Would not be surprised to see this place on Kitchen Nightmares with Gordan Ramsay someday.
The resort was nice. Good family oriented place but this restaurant is why weโre never going back to Barnesley.

Everything was spectacular - the atmosphere, the food, and the service! Sarah was our server and she was fanominal! She greeted us with an anniversary greeting and a big smile. She answered our questions we had about the menu and even made suggestions. We dined on Crab Cakes and Short Ribs. Both were cooked to perfection! Sarah told us she would take a photo of us to commemorate our 35th anniversary! We took her up on her offer. Then Sarah surprised us with an anniversary card that was signed by the entire staff working tonight. Needless to say we were overwhelmed! Before leaving us, she gave us a map of the resort and told us about future events happening at Barnsley. Sarah went above and beyond what we expected, leaving a lasting impression on us! She was so gracious and sweet. Another server stopped by to say hello to his former 3rd grade teacher. Thank you Jacob for taking the time to come talk to me. It meant the world to me! After the delicious meal, my wife and I spent time walking the beautiful resort and ruins. Absolutely beautiful!! It was definitely an anniversary to remember.

The atmosphere was nice and beautifully decorated. The food was good but Way Over Priced!! The taste was amazing and well portions, but again, it was very overpriced $$$
Family of 14 enjoyed a delicious meal (bruch/lunch) to celebrate 3 birthdays. Each family member was pleased with their food/beverage. And the waitstaff - fantastic. Wished I could remember the name of the primary waitstaff - so attentive and polite.
Fantastic meal in a casual elegant setting. We sat next to the fireplace but it appeared that the window views were lovely. Service was excellent and the menu items made choosing difficult. We could easily eat here every night for a week and not tire of the delicious offerings. Fried lobster was plated and accoutremented perfectly, the kitchen was accommodating to changes in food pairings to taste making it an all around 5 star experience.
Incredibly disappointing food. Very good service from the wait staff. Four or us went out for lunch and somewhat surprisingly three ordered the falafel plate. The food came out and upon first taste we realized at best that the food was room temperature. Spoke to the waitress and she took two of the plates back. Returned 5 minutes later with the same falafels that had been redipped in the "hot" oil. The food came back greasy and barely warmer. Wine portions were generous. Expensive meal that was clearly not worth it. I only wished the meal would have been representative of the resort. Not sure that I would go back again to the restaurant.
