Having lived in Albany the past 20 years, this is the ONE restaurant that has always exceeded my expectations. The food is always hot and delicious, and the service has always been wonderful. I have never had any employee be rude here, unlike many of the other restaurants around.

If this is the Captain D’s that by the old Long John Silvers, this is my favorite spot to stop when I’m in Albany. Their food is ALWAYS fresh and hot! Crispy fresh fish and hot Mac n cheese and jalapeño poppers. It’s a must to stop here when I’m in town. I hope I didn’t jinx myself by raving about them. I wish the company would give them a remodel to match their food.

Do not recommend!! I ate about half of a fish sandwhich and some fries that I ordered and started vomiting 5 minutes later. I noticed that the fish was a bit soggy and had a bit of a smell (cant really describe it) but it did not smell good. On One of the two sandwiches I ordered both buns were so burnt. I've eaten captain D twice before (not from the Albany location) and thankfully this was my only bad experience.
