The food was NOT good. The fried cornbread, I took one little tiny pinch of it and immediately spit it out. It tasted like it had been in someone's fridge for over a week! The cabbages were so soft, watery, and overcooked to the point that I spit out the first bite. I don't know if they were in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for a month and then thawed out for today! The barbecue chicken wasn't fresh( taste like it had been the fridge for 5 or more days, too), and I have had much better! The sweet potato casserole was interesting( looked weird, never had it made like that), but I was able to eat it, and it tasted good. I hate wasting money! For this restaurant to have a 4.5 star rating, I hope this was just an off day for them today and not typical.

When I say this place throws down, I mean they can cook. When I say they can cook, I mean they can play a mean jazz tune. When I say they are jazzy, I mean they dress in sequin jackets and tap dance like no other. When I say they can dance, I mean they fight like Oral Roberts.Parking: 3 spots in front of building for pickup orders. Back some camping gear just in case.

This is a place to stop. Truckers, good food. When I went in yesterday, they had baked chicken, pork chops, ribs, mac & cheese, rice, and green beans. I got the bake chicken with mac & cheese and green beans. I love the chicken. Mac & cheese taste better when it’s hot and also I tasted they use mushroom soup in it. Lot of food for me. I saved it and put it in the fridge. You got to call to find out what they are serving for today. When I’m back in town, I will be back.

I enjoyed the home style cooking for sure. Whenever I go home to visit, I buy several plates to take back with me. Unfortunately, today the dressing was dry & crumbly. But that’s few & far between when I get something not up to par. I’m still going back for more on my next visit home.
