Good afternoon. I have been looking to go here for a while as I was looking for alternates for where we typically go. So today was a good day to give them a try. I drove up when they first opened and didn't see anyone, I was worried. The worry was completely warranted. My wife got cabbage, lima beans, baked chicken and rice with cornbread. The cabbage had no flavor whatsoever and the lima beans were simply cooked...that's all. The best thing was the cornbread as it was sweet and buttery. I had mac cheese and greens with baked chicken. They may need to consider changing their cheese blend and seasoning as it was a little off putting for me and greens had a weird taste. I got yams on the side. The yams... no comment. There is definitely no grandma in this kitchen and it felt like they didn't taste their food as they were cooking. Now I do understand cooking so the customer can add the own seasoning to taste but it doesn't mean you don't have to season as you cook. I believe if they go back to the drawing board and let honest trusted people taste the food and adjust accordingly, they can be good. If they continue to serve what they serving, what I saw when I pulled up initially will continue to happen. As a mom and pop establishment, we need you to succeed so others like you can be created. Spaghetti and bread was not it. Personally it was not good for me. My co worker had chicken and cabbage with rice which is not pictured and he said it was not to his liking we just tried it but for anyone else they might like it but was not a hit for us. The staff is very friendly.

The food was terrible!! $18.00 for turkey wings!! First it was cold!! Then the rice was crunchy the turkey had good flavor but the were cold!! Sorry I had to be honest!!

The food is good but that means nothing when you're constantly running out of the same menu item "Oxtails" if thats your number one selling meat get enough for your customers to enjoy. You have to spend money to make money. Another thing I went there on 10/01 placed an order for 3 peach cobblers stood there for about 20 minutes only for the young lady to finally come over and say oh we're out of peach cobbler but they just told me then she offered me a refund of money that I never paid, I told her thanks for letting me know after waiting 20 minutes but I never paid I just gave you my order.

Yo first time coming here this place here is good. I ordered the ox tails with rice,mac n cheese,an greens...mannn....totally satisfiedIf I ever come back to Albany GA this is the place,thank you .
Very disappointing. I was driving through and this came up as a soul food restaurant. The ladies that helped serve me was amazing. I ordered baked chicken which I thought would be simple. For some reason the chicken taste and smell just like fish. The gravy didn’t have much of a taste the only side that did was a sweet potato soufflé. That’s the only thing that was good. I also got a slice of red velvet cake and it was stale, a tiny slice for $4. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. But I wouldn’t waste my money again.

Absolutely the best we have had in a long time . This small beautiful establishment has an incredible energy, thats rarely found here in Albany Ga. The staff was friendly, the food was fast and absolutely delicious. My husband had the fried chicken salad with sweet tea to drink . He ate every thing on his plate . I had the plentiful Wednesday lunch specials ,Spegitti and rolls with a sweet tea . We met with Erica she is adorable, funny and a hard working lady , clearly a Professional ready to take on the world . This place made us feel at home no drama no judgment just good people great food and amazing service. The staff this young lady went out of her way to take care of us. The tea was the best in Albany ga !!! We both ate great for under 20 bucks . This place is a must try if you haven't visited Erica's soul food restaurant your really missing out . We thank you Erica's soul food restaurant for making Albany Ga a place worth fighting for .Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly
