This place is a god send, we are friends with one of the waitresses that works here (Jessica Inlow) and we haven't been here in a while and we were just catching up with her and I told her about how the last few weeks has just been terrible, my mother died, a tree tore our house in half, my car broke down, etc...
Her and the owner got together and gave us top notch treatment for our family because of the holiday season and all of the turmoil we've gone through
On top of that the food is really great and the service is exceptional, someone is always checking on us.

i showed up to mellow mushroom for an outside band event on Friday, i wasn’t greeted when i came through the front door of the establishment. very rude!! i was then told to go have a seat outside ANYWHERE due to the fact their band was a patio event, i was not served for approximately 30 minutes as i was originally told to take a seat anywhere on the patio. i was ignored by every host and server that had entered the patio from the inside of the restaurant. i was then approached by a server after 40 minutes of waiting, i was so frustrated i just got up and left refusing the service from the server. i will NEVER eat here again!!! worst customer service in albany.

I order the Buffalo chicken pizza often— but the order I picked up today it was not made well at all. First time ever. One bad pizza I could maybe understand— even without chicken or bacon on most of it. (Most slices were just crust and sauce)
But —my review is based on the attitude and response I got to my call; the quizzing I got about what exactly was wrong. This was after the kitchen manager offered to make another and bring it to my house!
I had called back and asked to just be refunded for the pizza…..but honestly the cheesy bread was not up to their usual standard either.
The owner got the photos and sent me a $10 gift card toward a purchase— for a $40 order. She was defensive and told me people try things every day— and when they look at the cameras after customers complain…
Wait!!! What? I called about a bad experience and I get an inquisition??? Really an accusation— intoning I was lying?? Poorly made food is their problem— I should not be subjected to such a hassle.

Every other time, I would have wholeheartedly agreed…. Until this experience.
No worries— I can definitely do without their overpriced, although usually great pizzas, from now on. Customer satisfaction and courtesy is just as/ more important when I decide where to spend my money.

We ordered a Buffalo Chicken pizza this evening from Mellow here in Albany, Ga. The pizza is supposed to have chicken and bacon on it. When we got it home, there were a few pieces of chicken on the whole pizza, which may not be a big deal if the large pizza didn't cost over $30. We called to let them know. The manager said we needed to send pictures before he could refund to cover himself from the owner (he seemed scared of the owner). We sent pictures. The offered a $10 coupon. After pretty much being called liars and again, the COST of the pizza, we said this was unacceptable. The owner (Lisa) called and was very rude. She also implied trying to get over on her (and also said that "people in Albany try this all of the time on her"). She kept talking over us and then hung up. I have been told by many people in the community that she is rude, but never dealt with her until now. The people are right. Very rude. We come in there weekly and we won't be back. We will also be writing a letter to the editor on Lisa's feelings of "Albany customers".
