The Merry Acres Restaurant is no longer open. It might be available for events, I'm not sure, but not for the hotel breakfast. From what I could gather, many Albany businesses suffered losses from the tornado of 2017. They were just starting to recover when COVID hit in 2020 and that pretty much knocked the wind out of them. The good news is that the hotel and pub are still open and welcoming, and there is a complimentary breakfast available with basic fare such as coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk, microwavable sausage biscuits, bagles, and danish.

It's a very clean hotel and so comfortable. It have a restaurant, Bar, and beautiful pool. Not to mention gyms and corner stores.

It's dated but I guess if that's your thing, it adds to the charm. The people are very friendly. The location give you easy access to everything, (food, shopping, gas, etc.)
