Y’all sleeping on this bakery. There aren’t many legit bakeries in Albany. Most of the other places are always closed. About two years ago I came here and tried something that was so good-I saved them in my phone and every time I come back to Albany I stop by and they always have different desserts every time. They’re always unique, appropriate and hook you just like drugs. I literally always find something so amazing I want to tell someone to go try it. That’s how good a dessert should be. Look at that pecan pie-thick with that heavenly breading. Easily The best pecan pie I’ve ever eaten. The ooey gooey bar was insanely good. I had to put it down because I knew I wasn’t supposed to be eating that much dessert in one sitting. The lemon blueberry cake was appealing and unique. The breading and the inside layer was perfect. I’m not a fan of those colored icings and I don’t like a lot of icing so I didn’t eat much of the icing at all. I know they wouldn’t sell a cake without top icing But at my age that’s actually what I prefer. Great cake, didn’t love the icing. Overall, with Price, Service and selection-This little bakery is powerful. 5-Star. Try them!

They were so easy to work with and their cakes were so tasty! They did exactly what I asked for and the presentation was amazing, as well! I ordered by email with pictures, less than a week in advance, and then paid online, so it was super easy. My family and I were very impressed and we will be back as repeat customers for all of our important events!

I ordered a custom cake for my daughter's 16th birthday. I sent them a picture and told them so many small little details. They ABSOLUTELY nailed it!!! My daughter and I couldn't have been any happier!!! Thank you so very much for taking on the challenge!!

Best Bakery in Town!!!! My daughter participated in the summer camp they offer here and she had the BEST time!!!! All of the treats she baked were amazing!!!!! Can’t say enough good things about this business!!!! Y’all check them out for all your sweet treats!!! Love it!!!!!

I ordered two cakes in one week from Sugar Mama's. One for my daughter's college graduation party and one for my 50th birthday party. My daughter's graduation cake was fantastic. My cake was not what I had expected. I had ordered it with fresh raspberries on the top, and a golden 50 sign. The staff explained to me that the golden 50 had not come in, so they had bought a numeric candle to put on top, and the raspberried that I had requested be on top of the cake were out of season and not attractive. I accepted the cake as is but then thought better of it and called them. I asked them if we could do something to make it right. They were SUPER PROFESSIONAL. They allowed me to bring the cake back, they took the shriveled raspberried off of the cake and fixed the frosting. Thankfully, the golden 50 they ordered for my cake arrived while they were fixing it, so they put that on as well. I left a happy customer. That night, when we cut the cake, it tasted FANTASTIC. In business, especially the food business, things happen. Cakes are not easy to bake and decorating them with fresh produce, which can vary in appearance and quality due to weather, is difficult. This business is PROFESSIONAL and they stopped at nothing to make me a happy customer. I will use them whenever I need a cake because of that. Not to mention their cakes taste fantastic! Thank you, Sugar Mama's for being part of two very wonderful memories for me. You did a great job.

It's a shame that I have to leave a star considering that Sugar Mama's ruined my mother's 60th birthday cake. My aunt arrived this morning to pick up the cake and it had not even been made. They couldn't find the order for it and eventually it was located. So, they were able to make it and deliver it to Americus and it was nothing what we asked for when the order was placed initally. It was just something that was thrown together. I would have been better buying a cake out of the grocery store. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Y'all.....omg.....If you haven't tried the butter pecan cake, you are missing out! I was so skeptical at first, but this thing is amazing! Very rich in flavor and super soft!

The young lady who was servicing the front scratched her waist underneath her shorts and then rubbed underneath her nose with her hands and then went to go get my order. No gloves when handling prepared foods. No hand washing. I was excited to try the bakery but no thanks, I canceled my order due to concerns of cleanliness.
