My husband and I dined in for dinner on the 30th of September. I loved the service (Adrian) was very attentive and sweet. I'm in the food industry myself, and I must say that the crab stuffed snapper I ordered was not at best. My husband ordered a catfish platter and that too, (odor) was off. For a dish that's about (snapper)$40, I was cheated. That was not snapper. It tasted like catfish. I don't like to complain, but an industry such as this, I felt duked. This is a big no no. If your out of a type of item, it's mandatory to let your customers know. Perhaps another alternative. If anything... I could have gotten shrimp instead.

So, while working in Albany it was suggested that I check this place out. While unassuming on the exterior, the interior is what matters. Our server at the bar was nice, attentive and quick. The atmosphere was giving "Myrtle Beach or FL beach restaurant vibes!" The food was better than average. The fried crab claws and lump crab cakes were ??The Warden had blackened snapper. I had the "special," grilled Mahi with cherry maple glaze. There was a full service bar and their prices are reasonable. We'd DEFINITELY return!!!
Parking: Unless there's parking behind the restaurant, there isn't much up front.

First hand the atmosphere is ok. Ordered a top shelf margarita that was mostly lime juice, was not good all Our waitress Taylor was able take the drink off for us. I tried the sea scallops and they were cooked decently. I also had the blackened shrimp and it felt lacking as there were only 6 large shrimp(felt like an appetizer dish instead of a 2 meat meal). The chipotle Gouda grits were good as I like spicy things and the mashed potatoes were good. My wife’s grouper tasted ok and looked smaller than what you would have expected. This was our 2nd attempt at the catch and while I say I would recommend I recommend them once a year or once every 6 months.

If in Albany, Georgia, you must give this place a try. Doesn’t look like much on the outside but ever nice inside. Nikki was wonderful, very attentive. And the food was wonderful too. Shrimp and grits was some of the best I’ve ever had. The ahi tuna was perfect. Hush puppies were just right for this Southern girl. I highly recommend you give this place a try!!!

While our server was fantastic, the food was quite mediocre compared to the expense.

This was my first time going and I had the deep fried lemon pepper shrimp(they were sooo good), lobster egg rolls, and blackened crab claws(they were so small but tasty and plentiful)….I sat at the bar and Nicki was my server, she was really nice and attentive! Overall the food and atmosphere was great and I will be back for more of those deep fried lemon pepper shrimp!

Some items arrived cold. Shrimp did not taste good at all whether fried or grilled. Hush puppies were not hot nor did they taste good. Calamari was the worst I ever had. And for all the above I paid nearly $70 for two and we drank water!!!

Solo diner, I sat at the bar. Nicki was great. I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of Brussels. The brussels were nicely charred and well flavored.I don't typically even like hush puppies, but these were light and fluffy, fried but not greasy really well done. For the shrimp and grits, the grit cake was flavored nicely and the shrimp were perfectly cooked which can be hard for a kitchen to do correctly. Unfortunately, the gravy was super salty, not horrible enough to return the dish but right on the border.I spoke with both Nicki and the chef. Apparently this is a known issue with one of the line cooks. The chef said if I come back I should ask for him to make the dish. I appreciate the sentiment, but would suggest the better solution is to manage the real issue in the kitchen and if nothing else implement quality control on the dishes coming out of the kitchen.Another bigger issue, I had a gift card & I'd expected to be able to leave my tip using the card, unless the tip is added before the check is closed. I was lucky that I had some cash, but I always have concerns when an organization isn't making sure that their employees are top priority & taken care of.
