First time going!!! I will be back!! FOR the Fried Chicken!!!...tastes close to what my Grandma and Aunties made. I had a corn muffin and green beans with it..it was ok. Fried Chicken is really good!! My order was to go.There are a few tables, small place. Overall a good down home feel! Parking area is SMALL, BE CAREFUL. Literally on the corner of 8th and N.Jefferson..I almost passed it. Across from Subway.

If I could I would give 5 additional stars. The food is too good. Seven days a week I would eat here.

Got an 8 piece mix fried chicken for dinner on 8/4/23. Staff was nice, dining area, front counter could stand a refresh, wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to give it a refresh, that first appearance is everything. You'd be surprised Zaila's Place owner, how much this matters to a lot of customers. Price for 8 piece mix was great, BUT, the chicken pieces were small, tiny legs, tiny thighs, and tiny wings, not any plumpness, meatiness at all. The one breast I got was cooked ok, all the other tiny pieces must have been in oil with breast because they were overcooked and dry, to the point that, we just ate the skin and top layer of meat a bit, couldn't get to the bone, too, too dry. We ended up throwing away the other 4 pieces, like chewing on shoe leather. Really super disappointed because, we tried this place because publix consistently overcooks and kills their fried chicken as well. And KFC chicken which we find to be OUTSTANDING is too freakin expensive for some crazy reason and all they buy is chicken, but, hammer the customer on price these post covid days, don't understand that one either.

They have changed their hours for just a little while. And they will be closed all of next week but when they reopen they will be serving breakfast. Right now they close at 4:pm right now i guess they will continue closing at 4:00 pm I'm not sure about that. But the food was very good

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR ITS OWNER Lazela Warren!! We were there to help them financially when they were in a time of need and they have now stolen a large amount of money from us and refuse to pay. If this is how they repay someone who tries to help them, I would warn against doing any business with them.
