We came in for Easter lunch. Drinks and appetizers were good. My son ordered the Scallops w/ no bacon on potatoes…which we sent back ..when the fresh platter was returned the scallops were not crisp but soggy. Two chicken sandwiches were ordered they really had no flavor. I ordered the Easter special of fried catfish and okra which was presented on a plate in a paper bag. Not very good! When the check came I was charged 3.65% for the privilege to use a credit card. Service was great!

Horrible service. The food was "ok" but the service made us never want to go back. I think it was Vicky. Not sure the name of server from receipt. Older lady with big glasses. We went for 50th bday lunch and half way through my order, she said "ok" and walked off. I guess she just presumed I was done ordering. I had to ask other servers for water refill. This was our first time there and our last time. Food just "ok" so not worth going back.

The salad are always very good with perfectly paired salad dressings. We tried the special Coconut Shrimp Appetizer- I wouldn't order it again as the shrimp did not appear to be prepared in house with fresh plus it was lacking flavor. The spicy sweet and sour shrimp dipping sauce was really good though. The Grilled Salmon Salad and Southern Fried Chicken Salad are very tasty.

Service was super slow and no one apologized about it. The Grouper sandwich was good, the salad was average and the chicken sandwich was just ok. I do not think i am coming back to this place.

Where to start. We had a 6:00 reservation on a Saturday night. I walked in and told the host that our party was parking and he was very okay with that. While I was waiting for the other two parties my husband walked in and waited at the hostess stand. Two other people came in after him and the host came up to the stand and completely ignored my husband and immediately greeted the two people behind him who did not have reservations. They were very sweet and said hey he was here before us. That's where it started. Our waitress was so super sweet she was wonderful and the food was great! We finished with dinner and then the four of us ordered four coffees and four Bailey's. The manager Melissa then proceeded to come up to us while we are waiting for our drinks and asked if we could move so a party of eight who had a reservation as well could sit. She said that they could put us either outside with heaters or the first table in front of the doors and it's pretty cold out. Never did they say hey For your inconvenience we will get your coffees and Bailey's and when we proceeded to say that we were not interested in that she was absolutely rude. Then the table that was next to us finally got up they were able to accommodate the party of eight and the party of eight table sat down and glared at us the entire time. We spent over $300 and again our server was so very sweet but we were made to feel so badly and it completely changed the mood of our wonderful time. Note to owners your manager Melissa needs to be fired she was awful she rolled her eyes at us she made us feel badly for not wanting to get up while we were actively ordering and she needs to understand that we were paying customers as well.

Too salty. I've eaten at this location once before and enjoyed the care with the preparation. However, this time it was presented nicely but overly seasoned. I ordered the grouper sandwich and it was too sloppy to eat. And it fell apart so easily it was impossible but to eat with a knife and fork. Food came out fast Empty water glass for most of the meal for my partner which was recognized because of the sodium content. Server nice but checked on us once and never came back until time to pay. And I had to put my credit card on the table to be seen. Overall okay but not a place I'd go for a date night. It's rather a salty over priced version of Marlows tavern.

Our meal was yummy and our table and drink service were fantastic! When we first arrived we stood at the entrance for at least five minutes and were not greeted by anyone. The restaurant was mostly empty and there were 6 servers lingering behind the bar. It was odd. We thought maybe we should seat ourselves? The host never greeted us with a “Welcome! I will be with you in just a minute”. It was awkward We just stood there for a long time trying to figure it out. Another couple came in shortly after us and had the same experience. They seated themselves then were moved to a different table

Came in on a Sunday, the location was great, right next to an Avalon parking lot. The restaurant was pretty empty when we were there, we asked to sit outside to enjoy the outdoor elements of Avalon but the covered patio was a bit eerie: no music and only one other couple out there, so we were just listening to the guy smacking his lips as he ate. Our server was okay, seemed kind of short with us but I think thats probably just because she was frustrated with how slow it was that day, which I understand. She pitched us on the margarita of the day, which was Mango Peach. We ordered 2 and I'm pretty sure it was just a normal margarita with a splash of peach liqueur in there. Tasted fine, but if you had just told me it was a regular margarita I would've believed you. The food is the real reason I decided to leave a review. My partner and I really enjoyed the appetizers we got, Jalapeno Candied Bacon Sweet Potato Fries (pretty good) and Salt & Vinegar Brussel Sprouts(I didn't really taste any vinegar, but I love brussels so its fine). We both ordered the scallops, a 29 dollar entree. They were a huge letdown, everything was oily and bland. The menu said it had bacon & leek, and I think my plate had maybe one crumb of bacon, I don't think there was any leeks at all. The scallops had less flavor than the potatoes, and the spinach was covered in oil. Me and my partner are super lax when it comes to restaurants as we work in one as well and we know what all goes into a single table's experience, and I have to imagine that this place is better on busier nights or maybe they had people out sick and were struggling to keep things consistent, but that was my least favorite dining experience I've had in years. Major letdown, especially our entrees, which I feel like I could've made at home and done a much better job. Super disappointing experience.

Great location and great food! The only issue was it was cold in the limited seating area and we were told that the heater was out for over two weeks now. But the food was great.

Great place to stop in and have any one of over 200 Bourbons or Ryes and maybe a bite to eat. Great shopping intermission!
