I highly recommend this chain! It breaks up the monotony of the other quick service bowl restaurants. They offer unique seasonal options for sauces and I love that they will give you the sauce and dressings on the side and you can administer it yourself. Fell in love with the jerk sauce Summer 2025 and I can’t wait to stop by again to try what’s new for fall 2025. Smart concept, quick service, healthy food, and lastly, I love the fact that they offer MOUTHWASH in the restroom.
They do not accept cash money. They are scared of being robbed?!?! What moron is in charge of this place?? It would be one thing if they posted they don’t take cash but if you have people that look this business up, drive to it and then get told once you pull your money out to pay they don’t accept normal currency than there is a big issue there. This was my first time here and I will never return. I didn’t even try their food. This put a very sour taste in my mouth. Pitiful.
Went to try this place tonight. Was really looking forward to their fresh menu and options but went to pay, with cash, and they stated they don’t accept cash for “safety reasons”. What place doesn’t accept American Currency? Oh… and I don’t use debit or credit for “safety reasons”. Not to mention that there is no place posted that they do not accept CASH. Very disappointed in the upper management that decided in this poor venture. I will never come back here. Very...read full review

Gusto offers healthy bowls & wraps. Customers praise the fresh salad and good sauce, and note the restaurant is clean and staff friendly. Some meals like the Ginger Lime peanut bowl and the tahini cucumber feta/half and half with spicy chicken are described as tasty, fresh, vibrant and well presented. The baby bellas bowl is filling and delicious. However, several reviews mention food quality problems: shrimp can be overcooked, dry, mushy; chicken may be burnt, stringy, or missing bones; rice portions are too large; some bowls have been thrown away. Prices are often seen as high: a 3‑salad meal costs $51, a ginger lime peanut bowl $15, and overall cost is described as expensive. Service can be lacking; water is not offered, staff may not greet customers, and counter service requires a tip. Parking at Avalon is inconvenient. Despite these issues, many reviewers highlight the staff’s care and the well‑maintained, nicely decorated space. The manager is praised for fixing mistakes, and customers hope for the return of the Buffalo Buttermilk Ranch bowl.
