I think best dumping & fries I had it around this area. Must visit. Buy a drink, get dumplings & enjoy.
Ordered the pork dumplings and beef with onions and scallions. Both were fresh and delicious. Was a little pricy but I’m ok with spending a little more to eat good food.
Ordered via Uber Eats. The order is definitely not worth the price and quality. The taste was horrendous, too sweet and not delivering against expectations. I would never order from here.
FOOD POISONING ALERT! Do not eat here. Having recently eaten pork dumplings at Gu's resulted in extreme food poisoning and a trip via ambulance to the ER for a 7-hour stay to get fluids and nausea meds. A call was made to both the restaurant and the local health dept., with only the health department responding appropriately. Both the paramedics and the ER doctor said this was a classic case of food poisoning. Apparently, Gu's has had several bad reviews and now up for inspection. Save yourself and stay away!!!
We always stop by when at the Halcyon. My kids favorite are the cold noodles. Service and food are model of consistency.
Avoid this restaurant unless you want food poisoning, which I received after ordering their dumplings. I have eaten here several times before, but noticed a big delay in receiving my order and then ended up being hospitalized with extreme food poisoning. The manager refused to address the situation or offer a refund. If you look at the Forsyth County health ratings they have been cited several times for improper food, storage and temperatures.
The dumplings were crazy delicious!
Got the spicy dumplings and general tso chicken. Yes, they are spicy and delicious. I’m laughing at other reviews complaining about the spice level because the flavors were amazing. I agree the cost is a little more than normal but look around… you are eating at Halcyon, what do you expect? Renting the space cannot be cheap here. Overall great experience. Would come back again.
Use to love this place, but over the past year it’s gone down hill. Food quality and taste is not good anymore. The chicken and cilantro use to be very good, now it’s chewy and lacks flavor. The prices are too expensive for what you get. On top of that, you can’t even get a cup of water without being charged… not happy with this place. I would recommend many other Asian restaurants that are clearly better and cost less.

Food was ok but the service and overall feel for quality is just not good. I asked for some hot sauce and they said that would be an extra 2 dollars … has potential but as it is run today I would not recommend visiting.

This is inside the Halcyon Market Hall. It’s not that great to be honest. The filling didn’t seem fresh. The sauce is good though.

This is casual dining - takeout that should be your expectation. In that arena Gu's is terrific. Fast, accurate and great flavors.
